At our team Christmas party last weekend, we did a hand made gift exchange where each person had to make a gift using Stampin’ Up! product. Team member Lorri Nastala made this useful organizer. She started out with one of our clear stamp cases and inserted some pretty Designer Series Paper in the outside sleeve. Next she attached a note pad which she added a decorative strip of DSP. Notice the pen which she opened up and inserted a strip of matching DSP. The Envelope Punch board came in handy to make the custom sized envelopes to hold coupons and notes. I love it when gift items are pretty and super useful. Way to go Lorri.
Hand stamped coasters & Watercolor with embossing folders.
These are the hand stamped coasters, my team member,Amanda Waldhart made for her gift for our team gift exchange. She purchased the cork coasters at a craft store and used memento Ink to stamp the image and then colored in the butterflies with Blendabilites. To get some highlighted areas, she used the Chalk Marker over the Blendabilities. The Decorative Window Gift Boxes (sold 6 to a package) make the perfect way to present this useful gift.
Amanda also did a demonstration at the meeting of a fun technique she dubbed “Watercolor with embossing Folders”. She sponged 2 colors directly on the inside of an embossing folder, spritzed it with water and laid a piece of watercolor paper on top. Next she ran it through the Big Shot and came out with this show stopper!
The really cool thing about this technique is that every one comes out unique. Love it!
Gift Bow Wreath
This beautiful wreath was created by my niece and talented team member Kati Campbell. She used a Styrofoam wreath and covered it with strips of the All is Calm Designer Series Paper. An adorable hanging tag ad a snowflake embellishment hang in the middle, but the main feature of the wreath is the coordinating gift bows.
Katie gave a demonstration on how to make the bows at our last team meeting. Ooooooh I can see some of these making their way onto some packages this Christmas.
