It’s Officially Christmas Season

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we sure did.  We were able to spend the day with our kids and family that traveled here from North Carolina as well as those that live nearby.  My daughter and two of my nieces ventured out shopping for some early bird savings while I got online and took care of some gifts. How about you, have you started your shopping yet?  Don’t forget to get some of the awesome deals from the Stampin’ Up! extravaganza.  The second one day only door buster is available on Monday only and the entire extravaganza ends on Tuesday.  I’ve added the full list of Extravaganza items to the bottom of this post.

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, it’s officially Christmas season and I’ll be sharing lot’s of Holiday Cards in the days to come.  Todays card once again features the Holiday Home stamp set and coordinating Framelits.  I stamped the houses in various shades of blue and cut them out using the Homemade Holiday Framelits.  For the card base I stamped Whisper White stars on Night of Navy card stock.  The moon was done by punching a 2″ circle in a scrap of cardstock and using the negative card stock as a mask which I sponged Whisper White ink in the opening.  When I removed the mask, there was the moon.  I then stamped Santa and his sleigh over the moon.  The finishing touches on the card were the torn paper snow and the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the snow and roof tops.

Happy Thanksgiving

On this day of Thanksgiving, I just wanted to say how grateful I am for you, my fellow stampers and friends.  I pray your day is blessed with happiness and family and friends.  Today is special because both my kids are home with us at the same time, that hasn’t happened since Easter.  I Love them to pieces.

This beautiful card was made by my friend Cindy O.   From the Filigree Frame Embossing Folder, to the Gold heat embossing to the Gold Sequin Trim, this is a special card.

Snow Globe Shaker Card

I remember being mesmerized by snow globes as a kid, so I thought it would be fun to turn a card into a snow globe shaker card.  I stamped the image using Holiday Home stamp set.  I then inserted the stamped piece of card stock into a cello bag and poured a little Dazzling Diamonds Glitter into the bag and sealed it shut.  I used the Circle Framelits to cut the opening in the Soft Sky layer and I attached the cello bag behind the circle opening.  I little base of Silver Foil Paper and a greeting finishes off this fun card.
