Fall Fest: Cards & Tags Gift Box Set

Project Two for Fall Fest was this boxed gift set which featured the
“Under the Tree Tag a Bag Accessory Kit” and the “Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack”.  The box which was made from Cherry Cobbler card stock and Window Sheets was accessorized with some Crumb Cake Bakers Twine which came from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit.  The kit is found on page 7 of the Holiday Catalog and comes with 10 tag, 10 frames, 5 Cherry Cobbler clothespins, 5 Early Espresso clothespins, Dimensionals and the Bakers Twine.  One of our goals of Fall Fest was to show some unexpected ways of using product that might otherwise be overlooked.

Here you can see everything we created that went into the box.  The box
held 5 regular sized cards with envelopes, 5 mini cards with envelopes, 5 gift tags and 10 clothespins.

More goodies: When we were finished with the Card & Tags in a Box, everyone received a bundle of the “extra” DSP that wasn’t used in the project.

After all this stamping, we took a break for lunch which was a home cooked meal fit for a cold autumn day.

We had Creamy Chicken sandwiches,

Cheesy Veggie Soup,

and Pumpkin Cupcakes.

In planning retreats, one of the most fun things for me is the decorations.  We used the Festive Designer Kraft Paper Rolls (page 10) and cut them to size for placemats.  I used some of our Burlap Ribbon as the napkin rings and then I tied and glued a few of the Autumn Wooden Elements (page 46) with Linen Thread around the Burlap.  Each cupcake had a festive toothpick banner which said Grateful for you.  Did you notice the little signs that were labeled with the food?  I cut the heavy card board (that comes in some of our specialty paper packs to protect the paper) with the Top Notes Big Shot die.  Then I painted them with Chalkboard Paint and wrote on them with Chalk Markers after the paint dried.

Well, that’s probably enough for me to share about Fall Fest for today.  When you check back tomorrow I’ll show you what the stampers found at when they returned from lunch, as well as another project and some more surprises.

Oh what fun!~!!

To say we had fun at Fall Fest Retreat would be an understatement!  It was an amazing day filled with wonderful women, lots of stamping, good food, many, many giveaways.
I know, you’re thinking enough with the chatter, let’s see it all.  Here goes:

When we opened the doors at 8:30 our goodie bag and a custom printed Fall Fest mug were waiting at each of their spots. We had Hot Chocolate, Apple Cider, Coffee and Tea to warm them up on this cold autumn day.

The first order of the day was welcoming our “Newbies” which were two women who had never stamped with us before.  We welcomed Susie and Sheri with special My Paper Pumpkin Kits.

Next up were the gifts for the “All Timers”.  That’s “All Timers”, not Alzheimer’s or Old Timers.   My sister Peggy and I coined the term “All Timers” at our annual Stampin’ Sister’s Retreat for those stampers who have attended retreat every year or “All the Time”.
Since this was our first Fall Fest Retreat everyone who attended was an
“All Timer” and received this festive package which had a “Purse Hanger” engraved with “Stampin’ Retreat” and a Stampin’ Up! bag which they put on the hanger at their stamping spot for all their trash.

Next up was stamping!  Project one was this adorable card holder and 4 coordinating cards and envelopes.

The stars of the show (pun intended) for this project were the Bright & Beautiful stamp set, coordinating Star Framelits and Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series paper.

So now, project one is finished and we’re only 1 hour and 15 minutes into the day.  Be sure to check back tomorrow to find out what they got next and what we stamped.  Don’t you just love the anticipation?  I can’t wait to show you the next project…you’re going to LOVE it!

Fall Fest

Today is my Fall Fest Retreat that I’m hosting with my team member
Amanda Waldhart.  It’s a full day of stamping and paper crafting projects that Amanda, and I and my sister Peggy (she held her event 3 weeks ago) designed and prepped.  The day starts with each of the attendees receiving this goodie bag filled with all of the packets of supplies for each of the projects.
I can’t show you any thing else yet, because I don’t want to ruin the surprise for those attending, but let me just say, they are going to be spoiled today!
Stay tuned over the next few days and I’ll show you everything we did and everything they got…you’re going to wish you were there.
