Santa Punch Art Card

Here’s the card I made for my Shoe Box Swap at our Weekend Getaway.  I really enjoy creating things with our great punches.  I had seen a card on Pinterest a long time ago that inspired this card.  I love the depth in his beard and mustache that was achieved with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder

The fold for this card is a fun one because it opens up and his beard has magically grown longer.  The card base is Whisper White 4 1/4″ x 11″ and was scored at 5 1/2″ and 8 1/2″.  His hat is cut from Real Red cardstock 4 1/4″ x 2″ and his suit 4 1/4″ x 3″.

Santa’s mustache was cut out using the Mustache Framelit, his eyebrows and pompom is from the 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch and his beard and hair came from the Labels Framelits.  His face is the Oval Framelits and his nose is the 3/4″ Circle Punch.  For his belt I used the tiny little postage stamp punch in the Little Labels Punch Pack and then I punched around that with the Petite Curly Label Punch.

Now this is a WOW card!

All of the cards we made at the Shoe Box swap portion of our Weekend Getaway last weekend we wonderful, but this card deserves a post of its own.
Sheila S. created this beauty using “Beauty of the Season” stamp set.  She purchased a tutorial online and showed us how to put it together.  It was not the easiest card to make with the swinging focal point and multiple layers, but it sure was worth the work.

I think it’s so neat how you can still see the front of the card when you open it up.  The cardinal was colored and blended with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.

More Shoe Box Swaps to Share

As I promised, I’ve got more Shoebox Swaps to share with you.  This first card was created by Lorri N. Check out the sand, water, and sun; they’re all stamped with the “Work of Art” stamp set.  The birds and greeting are from the “Wetland” stamp set.

The beautiful card was created by Tina D.  The wreath from “Wondrous Wreath” was stamped using the Baby Wipe Technique.  Drops of reinker in various colors are dropped onto a Baby Wipe.  This then becomes the ink pad.  Cool technique and even cooler results as everyone’s wreath looked a little different.

Cathy s. created this set of three mini cards with a fun box that holds them.  These all feature the “Festival of Trees” bundle.
