Joyful Wreath

Although this was the final card we made at my Wondrous Wreath class this week, it certainly is not the last time you’ll see it on my blog.  I love the versatility of this set, it’s one of my favorite.

For this card the wreath was stamped in Wild Wasabi, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler.  I featured some of the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack which features lots of “homespun” looking patterns.  The Gold Foil “Joy” was cut out using the “Wonderful Wreath” Framelits which coordinates with the stamp set…Gotta love that coordination.  The words are a piece of cake to cut out when you put a piece of waxed paper between the framelit and the card stock before cutting it out.

Wreath on a Fence

Here I am again, showing you another way to think “outside of the box” when it comes to the Wondrous Wreath stamp set.  The background paper is from the All is Calm Designer Series Paper (it makes perfect falling snow), while the snow was made by tearing a piece of Whisper White card stock.  The picket fence was made by stamping the Hardwood stamp with Baked Brown Sugar ink on matching card stock.  I then cut 1/2″ strips from the stamped image for the fence boards.   Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler make this holiday wreath come to life.  I decorated the wreath with some of our Real Red Satin Woven Ribbon and hung it on the picket fence.  I think it looks right at home there.

Sweet Baby Wreath

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this card.  It was one that we made at my Wondrous Wreath stamp of the month class this week.  I stamped the wreath in Pistachio Pudding and Pear Pizzazz ink on Whisper White card stock and then used the coordinating framelit to cut the wreath out.  The dainty filigree design on the card, which I mounted as a “debossed” design,  is from the Filigree Frame Textured Embossing Folder.  The sweet little flowers on the wreath are the smallest flower from the Boho Blossoms Punch (I cut little petals into each flower and scrunched the petals a bit).  A Pink Pirouette seam binding bow and pretty little pearls (some colored with the Melon Mambo Blendabilities marker) finish off the card.
I made this card for a coworker who will be having a baby girl in a few months, but by switching out the stamped banner it could be used for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, Easter… and the list goes on and on.
