Convention Check in Day

Wednesday I arrived in Salt Lake City for the annual Stampin’ Up! Convention.  The real festivities don’t officially start until today, Thursday, but we were able to pick up our convention bags which were filled with all kinds of goodies.  We got our make & take packets, 3 new stamp sets, one of which will be in the new Holiday catalog which comes out in September.  We also got some new Project Life Accessories to use with one of our make & take projects.

I plan on posting here each day of convention, but this post has been a real struggle with the internet, so if you don’t hear from me until I get back home, please know I’m thinking of you all and will be sharing everything when I can.

Groovy Kind of Love

You know how when you get the new catalog and flip through the pages, how sometimes a stamp set jumps out at you for no particular reason?  That’s what happened with the “Groovy Love” stamp set.  I guess maybe it’s because it has polka dots and animals prints, not to mention the fact that there is a coordinating punch…gotta love that!  That’s a groovy kind of love!

Time to Celebrate!

Before the sun even rises tomorrow morning, I’ll be on my way to Salt Lake City for the annual Stampin’ up! convention.  That alone is reason to celebrate!  Four fun filled days with about 4000 demonstrators from all over the US and Canada.  I’ve been busy getting posts together while I’m gone, so you can still see some inspiring ideas.  I will be sure to take tons of pictures and share everything… okay, maybe not everything … but many things with you when I return.

Meanwhile back to the featured card today. It’s another one the guests at my Exclusive Extravaganza made on Saturday.  It features my favorite card layout.  I used the “Cupcake Party” stamp set, the fun Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper, the fabulous Striped Scallop Thinlit with the Gold Foil Paper, and the Fun Frames Embossing Folders.
