I made this sweet little card featuring the Hello Ladybug stamp set combined with lots of other products with dots!  Let’s take a closer look.

Color Combo

So, obviously the ladybug has dots, so I used the Checks & Dots Embossing Folder on the background.  I also used a piece of the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper that has a white background with an outline of dots (follow the instructions on how I turned it to red with black dots.  Finally I added more dots with the Matte Black Dots.

Measurements: 

  • Thick Basic White: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” score at 4-1/4”
  • Basic Black: 3-3/4” x 5” and 2” x 2”
  • Basic White: 3-1/2” x 4-3/4” and 2” x 2”
  • Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (white with circles): ½” x 5-1/2” 

Instructions:

  • Fold card base on score line and attach large Basic Black piece to the front with Stampin’ Seal
  • Place large Basic White piece diagonally in the Dots Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine
  • Color the strip of Pattern Party DSP with Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend, then color in each of the circles with the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends and adhere this to the large Basic White piece just above the embossing.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Memento ink above the strip of DSP as shown.
  • Punch body of the ladybug from the Basic Black piece using the Ladybug Builder Punch and attach this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Stamp ladybug wings on small Basic White with Poppy Parade ink and the dots with Memento Ink, then punch out with the Ladybug Builder Punch and attach to body with Dimensionals.
  • Attach three Matte Black Dots as shown.

Abstract Beauty Suite

If you’re like me, sometimes you pass right by some items in the catalogs, not really even seeing them at first.  Well, that’s how it was for me when I was paging through the Spring Mini Catalog on pages 48 & 49.  That’s where you’ll find the Abstract Beauty Suite.

When I pages through the catalog the second time, this suite of products really caught my attention.  I mean seriously, look at the gorgeous prints in the Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper!  So many pops of color and gold accents, and do you know what else is special about this paper?  It’s 4″ x 6″ so that means no waste!  

I am also enjoying the Abstract Beauty Ephemera Pack of little die-cut accents that coordinate with the paper.  I’ve really been loving the Beautiful Shapes Dies and the Adhesive-Backed Hexagons too.  To help showcase these great products, I’ve created 6 simple cards featuring the Abstract Beauty Suite and shared them on my weekly Wednesday Facebook Live.  Check it out!
