Another Great Year

I decided to choose a stamp set and stick with the same colors of ink and card stock and create a few coordinating cards. Here’s what I cam up with using Very Vanilla, Early Espresso and Blushing Bride card stock and ink and “Another Great Year” stamp set.

You’re How Old?

I get a kick out of the saying on this card. It’s from the Just Sayin’ Stamp set and I think it’s perfect for the young who are proud to be another year older and the “older” who can’t believe how old they are. It just makes me smile. Have you noticed how the pattern in the Watercolor Wonder DSP coordinates with the Chevron embossing folder and the triangle punch used here. That’s just another reason I love Stampin’ Up! products…the coordination makes things turn out so good.

Doesn’t it just look like the little flowers are “doin’ the happy dance” across the bottom of the card? I used the Petite Petals Punch and punched out 5 flowers from the Whisper White cards stock. Next I punched out 1″ circles from various patterns of the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper and attached these to the back side of the Whisper White cardstock. “Celebrate” was colored with markers directly onto the stamp. Two stamped flowers from the Petite Petals stamp set finish off the greeting strip. The centers of the flowers are Candy Dots.
