Some days things don’t necessarily go perfectly, no matter how much we try.  A few weeks ago when I sat down to create with some new product from the Occasions catalog, I could envision just exactly how I wanted a card to be and no matter how I tried, it just didn’t look right. I walked away for a few minutes and had another idea which is the card above.  It may not be what I had originally intended, but I think it’s a wonderful card, simple, cheerful and just right with the heart popped up on it.  What do you think?

Oh what fun we had Saturday morning at my Winter Warm Up Party!  My stampers and I took the month of December off to get ready for the holidays and spend time with family and friends, so this was our first opportunity to get our creative juices going in quite a while.  It was wonderful to catch up with everyone after our “break” and we got a number of new stampers to join us too.  I served hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies, because you know stamping and chocolate go hand in hand.

So here’s one of the cards we made.  Love, love, love the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper!  It is so reminiscent of Spring which we’re all looking forward to these cold Wintery Wisconsin days.

There’s just something about the “Psssst…” stamp in the Happy Watercolor stamp set that makes me smile when I see it.  I took my color palate from the Watercolor Wonder DSP, it’s So Saffron, Smoky Slate and White.  If you look around in home décor magazines you’ll see this color combination is right on trend.
