Welcoming Woods for Winter

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, we sure did.  Even though Christmas is over for the year, there’s still plenty of great product available from the Holiday Mini Catalog, but only for one more week!  That’s right, the Holiday Mini catalog ends at midnight on January 3rd.  For today’s card I’m featuring the Welcoming Woods stamp set for a peaceful Winter scene.

I stamped the trees with Whisper White Craft Ink on a 3-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Misty Moonlight card stock, then added the ground to anchor the trees and finally added the snowflake images.  Next I used Night of Navy ink on a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White and stamped the sentiment from the Slim Sayings stamp set (available in the Spring Mini Catalog starting January 4th).  I added the snowflake texture to the lower edge of the Basic White with the Wintery Embossing Folder.

Once all the stamping and embossing was done, I attached the Misty Moonlight piece to the Basic White piece and tied a bow in the White Glittered Organdy Ribbon and wrapped the ends to the backside and secured them with Mini Glue Dots.  The Basic White was then attached to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Night of Navy card stock and then on a card base of Thick Basic White that measures 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ (scored at 4-1/4″).  The finishing touches on this card are the addition of three Night of Navy Rhinestones (from the Holiday Rhinestones pack) and the snowflakes sparkle with a few of the new Iridescent Rhinestones (also available in the Spring Mini on January 4th).

Merry Christmas in Blue & New catalog Sneak Peeks

Christmas is only 1 week away!  Wait, what?!  It’s hard to believe but it’s true, so I thought I’d share one more Christmas card with you before I share a Sneak Peek of the new catalogs.

Stampin' Up! Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set, Stampin' Studio

This simple card features the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper and the Hippo & Friends Dies both from the Annual Catalog as well as the retiring Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set which is on the last chance list.  You can check out the Last Chance List HERE

The new Spring Mini catalog and the Sale-a-bration Catalogs will go live on January 4th, but as a demonstrator, I was able to preorder from them at the beginning of December.  I took advantage of the opportunity to preorder and got a bunch of new stuff that I’ve been playing with.  I thought you’d enjoy getting a sneak peek of my stash, so check out the video.

Sweet Stockings on the Mantel

Slim line cards (long and skinny) have become a big hit, so I played around and created this one using the Sweet Stockings Suite of products.  The only stamping on the card is the sentiment from the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set.  Everything else is paper.

The mantel is one of the wood grain prints from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and the brick fireplace is just Basic White card stock that has been run through the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  The stockings where all fussy cut from the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper and attached to the mantel with the Round & Square Brads and dimensionals.  All of the holly leaves and berries are die-cut using the Stockings Dies. I created this to fit in a regular sized business envelope.

  • Cherry Cobbler: 9″ x 8″ score at 4″ and a scrap piece
  • Early Espresso:  8-3/4″ x 3-3/4″
  • Woodgrain from In Good Taste DSP:  8-1/2″ x 1″
  • Basic White: 8-1/2″ x 3-1/2″
  • Old Olive: scrap piece
  • Cherry Cobbler: 2-1/2″ x 4″
