Fall Fest: Afternoon

Over the past few days I’ve been sharing all of the goodies and projects from my Fall Fest Retreat.  I’ve covered the morning session with the projects as well as the lunch we provided.  Today I’m going to share with you a few more things.

When we finished lunch and everyone returned to their seats they found these “Caramel Apples” made from the Curvy Keepsake Box Framelit.  Each Caramel Apple was filled with chewy caramels.

Before we started the next project we had a game for a few to play.  we had marked an “X” on the bottom of three of the Fall Fest Bags and those that had the “X” were asked to come up and demonstrate their stamping skills.  They had to open a stamp case and mount a photopolymer stamp, open a stamp pad and stamp the image on a piece of Whisper White card stock, fold the card in half, put it in an envelope, and lick the envelope shut.  the first one to complete the task would win.  Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention, they had to do all of this with winter gloves on their hands.  Everyone really seemed to enjoy this fun activity.

Teresa C. was the winner of the game and received this wooden bird house I decorated with papers and punches.
We then gave everyone a package of the Autumn Wooden Accents
as an extra gift.

Next on the agenda was Project Three which was a set of 5 cards featuring the Festival of Trees stamp set and coordinating Tree Punch as well as the All is Clam Designer Series Paper.  They used some of the Frosted Sequins on these cards so everyone also received a package of those as well.

Before they finished the Festival of Trees cards, we passed out Bags of homemade caramel corn.  We used the Petite Café Bags which worked perfect for the caramel corn because the inside of the bag has a waxed coating so that no oils from food come through the bag.  The Caramel Corn was a big hit and even thought these bags can be sealed up to keep the food in them fresh, I don’t think many stampers went home with any popcorn left.  I thought I’d share my Microwave Caramel Corn recipe with you.  It’s easy and oh so good!
