I’ve got another Brusho Crystal Colour technique for you today. Yesterday I shared the Bubble Wrap technique, (you can check it out here) I call this one Spritz & Sprinkle.
I used Watercolor Paper and Basic Black Archival Ink and stamped the sentiments using the Happy Wishes stamp set. Next, I applied Washi Tape 1/4″ from all four edges attaching the Watercolor Paper to my scrap paper. This formed a “mask” around the edges of the Watercolor Paper where no color would be able to get to. Next I used the Stampin’ Spritzer and sprayed water all over the Watercolor Paper making sure it was saturated. I decided to use the red Brusho and “sprinkled” it over the water. The trick is to not use too mush powder because you don’t want the entire thing to turn red, you want variations in the color. Next… be patient… you’ve got to allow time for the Watercolor Paper to dry. This could take 5-15 minutes depending on how wet your Watercolor Paper was.
After my focal point was finished I added three Rhinestones to the lower right edge and mounted it on a piece of Basic Black cardstock. The card base is Real Red and I used a fun fold I call Missing Middle, where the middle of the card is cut out but the whole thing is held together by attaching the focal point to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
As I shared yesterday, every time you use the Brusho, you’re going to get different results. These are how everyone’s cards turned out at my Brusho Techniques class the other night. More Brusho techniques coming in the next few days.
