Today I’ve got a really fun card I created using the Darling Label Punch Box.
This box of product features 2 ink spots (Grapefruit Grove & Night of Navy), a clear block for attaching the stamps, the Darling Label Punch and the stamp set all in a gorgeous tin box.
Rather than the entire card being folded in half like most cards are, this one has a front panel that opens up while the rest of the card does not. I started with a 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Night of Navy for the base of the card and layered on a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Grapefruit Grove that I embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing folder. The flap that opens is a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measures 2-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ and is scored at 4-1/4. After temporarily attaching a 2″ x 4″ piece of Garden Impressions DSP to the top flap with just a tiny bit of Snail adhesive, I inserted the top flap all the way into Darling Label Punch centering from side to side and punched. Next, I removed the DSP and stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy through the “window ” opening onto the inside of the flap. I used a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment again, this time in Grapefruit Grove and fussy cut around “birthday” part of the sentiment. Before reattaching the Garden Impression DSP I attached the “birthday” banner to the front flap with snail. The final touch was adding the Grapefruit Grove Ribbon around the front flap.
