Getting ready for Valentine’s Day

This is crazy, but Valentine’s Day is just over a month away, so I thought I’d provide a little Valentine’s inspiration for you. The From My Heart Suite in the new Mini Catalog features a stamp set and a set of two coordinating punches as well as ribbon, Designer Paper, Doilies, Gem Embellishments and even foil tins for packaging treats  You can view all the product in this video and then be sure to check out the adorable Valentine’s Day card I’m showcasing today!

Stampin' Up! From My Heart Suite, Heartfelt Bundle, Stampin' Studio

Measurements:

  • Real Red: 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 5 ½”;  plus scrap for heart
  • Whisper White: 3 ¾” x 5”
  • DSP: 3 5/8” x 4 7/8”

Instructions:

  1. Using the scalloped heart punch, punch out one Flirty Flamingo heart and one Real Red heart from the 12 x 12 sheet of hearts, included in the package of specialty paper.
  2. On the Red Heart, stamp your sentiment using Tuxedo Black ink.
  3. On scrap of Real Red, stamp the dotted outline heart in Tuxedo Black Ink, and punch out using the “plain” heart punch.
  4. Adhere this piece to the Flirty Flamingo heart.
  5. Assemble your card as shown. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the Sentiment.
  6. The ribbon bow is adhered with a glue dot.

Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog, Stampin' Studio

If you’ve received your copy of the Mini Catalog in the mail, you’ll notice first of all it’s not mini at all!  It’s loaded with 75 pages of gorgeousness and claiming the cover of the catalog is the Peaceful Poppies Suite of products.  I’ve got a video that showcases everything in the suite followed by a simple yet stunning card featuring the products from the suite.  Check it out and let me know what you think?

Stampin' Up! Painted Poppies stamp set, Stampin'; Studio

Measurements: 

  • Basic Black Card Stock: 4 1/4” x 11”
  • Old Olive Card Stock: 3 7/8” x 4 7/8” & 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Whisper White Card Stock: 1 ¾” x 3” & 3/8” x 1 ¾” & 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”
  • Peace Poppies DSP: 3 ½” x 4 ¾”       

Instructions:

  1. Stamp Sentiment onto White mat and adhere to the Old Olive mat for the inside of the card.
  2. Stamp the Poppy image onto the 1 ¾” x 3” piece of Whisper White Card Stock
  3. Color Poppy with Poppy Parade Blends and leaves and stems with Old Olive Blends. I used Light Balmy Blue to trace around the left side of the bloom and greenery.
  4. Add Designer Paper to the Old Olive and then to the Basic Black card base.
  5. Stamp sentiment onto the 3/8” x 1 ¾” piece of Whisper White and add Dimensionals to the back. Mount across the Poppy image.
  6. Add image piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back and adhere to the front of the card.
  7. Add Rhinestones to either side of the sentiment.

In just 6 weeks, Dave and I are taking a bunch of crafters on a 7 day cruise to the Western Caribbean on my my 2nd Annual Stamp, Crop & Cruise Retreat aboard Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas.   This is a card I sent to everyone attending my event.  The card features the Tropical Chic stamp set and the coordinating Tropical Dies.

We’re going to have a fabulous time on the cruise.  I’ve put together 8 classes that we’ll be doing on the days at see, but I don’t want you to be left out in the cold.  Maybe the timing for the cruise wasn’t good for you this year, or maybe it didn’t fit into your budget, or possibly you didn’t even know about it until now!  Well, have no fear, you don’t have to miss the boat!  Introducing…
