Today’s card uses the White Chalk Marker Technique.  Here’s a close up so you can see how pretty it is to see a winter rabbit.

Masculine card’s are easy with the Nature’s Beauty stamp set

Are you looking for a ideas for a masculine card?  Look no further than the Nature’s Beauty stamp set.  This is another of the cards from Dave’s card class earlier this week.

The natural elements of this card make it a perfect masculine card.  We started with a Gray Granite card base and added a textured layer by attaching Early Espresso cardstock to a piece of Soft Suede before running it through the Woodland Embossing Folder.  Next, a piece of the Braided Linen Trim was wrapped around the embossed layers and tied in a knot before attaching the layers to the card front.  Gray Granite cardstock was cut out with the Stitched Nested Dies and stamped with Memento ink before coloring in with a Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend on the body and Ivory for the ears.  After attaching the die cut to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added a couple copper accents in the form of a small banner from Copper Foil and a leaf from the Leaves Trinkets.

Fall Landscape with Nature’s Beauty stamp set

The images everyone notices right away in the Nature’s Beauty stamp set are the deer, the fox and the rabbit, but don’t forget the lovely trees in the set!  I created this fall landscape card for Dave’s Nature’s Beauty class with the trees in the Nature’s Beauty stamp set.

If you look at the tree images in the stamp set, you’ll notice there are no leaves on the trees.  So, how did I get leaves on my trees you ask?  I stamped the trees in Early Espresso ink, then using the brush tip end of  the Stampin’ Write Markers in Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Mango Melody I “tapped” the leaves on the stamped tree images.  I finished off the landscape by coloring the tree trunk with Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend and the grass with Old Olive.  For the golden sky, I used Crushed Curry ink with a sponge to rub the color on.  Finally I punched it out with the 2-1/4″ Circle Punch before layering it on a Scallop Circle piece of Pumpkin Pie.  The pretty printed paper is the Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP and I added a bow made from the Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.  The finishing touches are the leaves that I die-cut with the Gathered Leaves Dies.
