There’s so much to Love about the new In Colors

There have been so many incredible new products in the Annual Catalog, I haven’t really had time to really share the new In Colors.  They are bright and colorful and they coordinate so well with so many of our other colors, I just had to do a post featuring them.

As you can see each of the cards shown above have the exact same layout and products.  All I did was change the colors.  I use the Lovely Floral Embossing Folder for the Whisper White background, this adds some great texture.  Every card has Call Me Clover cardstock and Designer Series Paper so that it coordinates with the Call Me Clover ink used on the leaves.  The flowers and sentiment are from the Abstract Impressions stamp set.  I did do some fussy cutting around the flowers because I wanted to add some depth to them by popping them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Each card also has a strip of the In Color Designer Series Paper and the 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon in the matching colors.

Accented Blooms

The Accented Blooms stamp set is so much fun to create with.  This time I stamped the image in Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored the flowers with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.

The striped paper is from the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stack and I just stamped the sentiment directly on the paper.

I went with a classic color combo of White Black and Yellow.  Once I had the main image done, I stamped the “hello” sentiment in Daffodil Delight ink and punched it out with the Tailored Tag Punch and popped it up with Dimensionals.

Dandelion Wishes

Thought I’d share a card I made with one of the most popular stamp sets from the Annual Catalog. It’s the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.  I think the things about this stamp set that are most appealing to people is the memories of picking dandelions as a kid and the fact that this is such a simple, yet gorgeous stamp set.  It requires no coloring or fussiness of any kind.  I also really love the sentiments and the pretty font.

Because it’s me, and well… I like layers…I started with a Coastal Cabana card base and added a layer of basic Black, and then the Whisper White layer that has all the fun going on.  The blue and green on the card is Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green ink that I rubbed on the Whisper White cardstock with Sponge Daubers.  But first I masked off a 1-1/2″ strip by placing scrap cardstock on either side which was held down with Washi Tape.  This covered up all of the Whisper White except the area I was sponging on.  Once I had the Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green applied to the Whisper White Layer, I removed the scraps of cardstock then stamped the image and sentiment in Memento Ink and added the Clear Faceted Gem to the center of the dandelion.
