Back from our Alaskan Adventure

It’s been more than a week since my last post, and that’s because I’ve been on the Stampin’ Up! Alaskan Cruise Incentive Trip!  Stampin’ Up! sure does spoil us on these vacations.  Of the 50,000 demonstrators worldwide, 400 earned and attended the trip, which Stampin’ Up! pays for the airfare and the cruise for the demonstrator and a guest (that would be Dave).  Some demonstrators opted to pay for additional family members to attend so there were a total of 1000 Stampin’ Up! people on the ship.

We have a general session, where it’s our first opportunity to get the Holiday catalog and start seeing the product in person.  We also had a welcome party and a farewell party, but other than that the entire time is ours to do what we want.  It’s not an event where we do stamping or take classes, it’s a vacation. The scenery was breathtaking, and the weather was unseasonably warm in the mid to high 80’s during the day while on land.

While on the trip, every evening when we return to our cabins after dinner, there’s a gift waiting for us.  Wanna see all of my goodies?!

We all received this really warm fleece jacket with the Stampin’ Up! logo on it and oodles of pockets for cell phones and the like.  We also got this new Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder which is in the Holiday Catalog which goes live on September 4th.

When we gathered together Friday morning for our general session and the reveal of the Holiday catalog, we were given a bag to collect lots of goodies.  We got Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper, Memories & More real Red Note Cards & Envelopes, Suite Season Washi Tape, Corrugated Embossing Folder, and a new tool called Take Your Pick.  I also won Prize Patrol and received the Peaceful Noel stamp set.

Wednesday’s gift was the rest of the products from the All Is Bright mega suite.  I was so excited about the coordinating stamp set and punch, I didn’t even realize I got the German stamp set instead of English.  I just noticed that as I was doing this post!  I guess I’ll have to call Stampin’ Up! tomorrow for an exchange.

Thursday was the final gift which was the new Dashing Deer Bundle with includes the Dashing Deer stamp set and the Detailed Deer Thinlits.  We also got a big world map that is designed for travelers to mark where they’ve traveled to.  By using a coin to scratch off a location, the map starts to reveal a colorful reminder of placed visited.  Thanks to Stampin’ Up! and the many trips I’ve earned, we’ve got a lot of scratching to do to mark it all down.

Oh, I forgot to take a picture of the rest of my bounty.  Stampin’ Up! provided a gathering place on the ship for us which was a big conference center they had decked out with a wooded Alaskan theme.  There were camping chairs and tents and trees to add to the feel.  There we huge canisters filled with candy and pretzels and more to snack on and daily we could spin a wheel for a prize.  I got 2 more packages of designer paper, and 2 rolls of ribbon and an embossing folder and embellishments besides all of the things I’ve shared pictures of.

I can only imagine how anxious you must be to see the product, so my plan is to shoot a video to share all of the new products I got up close so you can really see it all.  Hopefully I’ll have that for you tomorrow.  Also, don’t forget, you can join my team now before the end of the month and get $125 in product of your choice for just $99 plus you get to choose a color family of ink pads and as a demonstrator, you can order from the new Holiday catalog at a 20% savings starting on August 1st!  How’s that for amazing!

Alaska Bound!

Last night Dave and I flew to Seattle, Washington and this afternoon we’ll be sailing on the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip, a cruise to Alaska!  We’ll get to experience rugged landscapes and breathtaking views on the Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas Alaska Cruise! This is a seven-night cruise, where we’ll visit the beautiful Alaskan port towns of Juneau and Skagway and we’ll be cruising through the Tracy Arm Fjord and the famed Alaska Inside Passage before we head to Victoria in Canada.  I’m really excited to see the glaciers from above when we’re flying in a helicopter!  We’ve also booked a hike and Rafting excursion!

I want to thank you all, once again for supporting me and my business…YOU are what makes earning these trips possible and I am so grateful! I will have very limited access to the internet while on vacation, so I will be taking a break from posting but will fill you in on the fun and the ways that Stampin’ Up! spoils us.  In the mean time, here’s a pretty project I wanted to share with you.  I hope you enjoy.

Color Combination

Stampin' Up! Color Combinations

I’ve really enjoyed playing with new color combinations since the color revamp in this Annual Catalog.  The purples are always a favorite for my regular customers, so I’ve paired Highland Heather with Gorgeous Grape and added some Granny Apple Green.  After stamping the image in Memento Ink, I picked up my new Stampin’ Blends and colored in the images added shadows with the Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green Combo packs.  The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from the Detailed with Love stamp set.  The multiple layers of matting really frame the stamped image nicely.
