Gorgeous Grape Varied Vases

I’ve got a bunch of new product to showcase on today’s card, starting with the Varied Vases stamp set.  I just can’t say enough about this set.  I love the simplicity of this card with lots of Whisper White paired with Gorgeous Grape.

Stampin' Studio Color Combinations

I started with a Gorgeous Grape card base and added a layer of Whisper White that I ran through the Striped Scallops Embossing Folder.  Next I added a piece of my favorite ribbon, the Gorgeous Grape 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon.  I stamped the vase and flowers in Memento Ink on a piece of Whisper White then added the color to the flower petals with Gorgeous Grape Ink.  The “frame” is from the Layering Squares Framelits and then I finished it with the sentiment stamped on a banner of Highland Heather popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love how you can simply stamp the outline of the flowers and leave it at that or you can opt to add color to the flower petals with the two step stamping images or you can opt to color the petals with markers.

More color display boards

After my post on Friday with my color spectrum board (you can view it HERE) I received hundreds of comments and questions about past boards that I’ve done and also what order I put my colors in.  All of my cardstock, ink and markers are organized in Rainbow order rather than color families.  Today’s post is to share with you my Rainbow Color order as well as some photos of my past color spectrum boards.

Introducing Roy G Biv

Every year when the new Annual catalog is released, I update my color spectrum board.  This is a huge bulletin board I have at my Stampin’ Studio Class Room.  It features all of the Stampin’ Up! colors.  Rather than storing and displaying the colors by color family, I prefer to organize them in rainbow order; that is Reds, Oranges, Yellows, Greens, Blues, Indigos, & Violets (also known as ROY G BIV).  Stampin' Up! The banner across the top was crated with the Layering Alphabet Edgelits using the Bright Color Family.  I wanted to showcase the Cardstock, Ink, Designer Series Paper, Stamps, Punches, Big Shot, and Embossing Folders in each color.  The cardstock was cut  4-1/4″ x 4-3/4″ and embossed on the top 1″ with the Tufted Embossing Folder.  Next I cut 1″ wide banners using all of the Designer Series Paper Stacks for each color family and In Colors.  I printed off the name of each color on a strip of Whisper White cardstock and attached it over the banners.  After stamping the daisy from the Daisy delight stamp set on the featured color and Whisper White I punched them out with the Daisy Punch and layered them together and attached them to the cardstock display with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The final touch was adding leaves from the Leaf Punch behind each daisy.

This display took a long time to create, but I love how it turned out.  It looks awesome in my Stampin’ Studio Class Room and it makes it easy for my customers to see the great color selection we have to offer.   Are you loving the new colors?  Don’t forget you can get yourself an entire color family of new ink Pads.  Click HERE for details.
