Stamp, Crop & Cruise

I’d like to share something, so please indulge me for just a bit.  I am an avid paper-crafter and have been an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator since 2003. I’ve  presented many times at regional and national Stampin’ Up! events as well as on incentive trips with the company, focusing on innovative ideas and designs. I have earned numerous awards with Stampin’ Up! including top 100 in the company.   I have also been a trainer and facilitator in the dental field.  In short, I love paper-crafting and teaching and sharing that love with others in the form of classes and retreats.  For the past 12 years I’ve hosted our Stampin’ Sister’s Retreat with my sister Peggy, which has been super successful, and we sell out in just a matter of a few days.  The demand has been high, very high.  So, since retreats are my favorite event to put on and host, I got to thinking, how can I expand on this?

Another one of my loves is traveling, and specifically cruising.  Dave and I enjoy unpacking once for a week long adventure to exotic ports of call.   So, after talking and planning for a long time, I’ve decided to expand my retreat repertoire and host a cruise retreat I’m calling Stamp, Crop & Cruise.  This retreat will be like no other, I promise you that.  Please read on and consider Stamping, Cropping & Cruising with me.

Join me for my 2019 Paper-Crafting Retreat Cruise!  Stamp, Crop & Cruise is a 7-night Western Caribbean Cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas leaving from Tampa, Florida on January 26, 2019.

There are 2 parts to this cruise: Crafting & Cruising

Part 1: Crafting

The paper-crafting portion of this cruise consists of eight (8) fabulous classes including card making, fun folds, scrapbooking, 3D items, techniques and home décor. All classes will take place on our days at sea (so you won’t have to miss a minute of the beautiful ports) and will feature products from the Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog and the 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs.

  • You’ll experience quality classes with innovative designs and lots of one-on-one attention.
  • You’ll have a place to call home in the craft room as you’ll get half of a table to use for the duration of the cruise.
  • You’ll receive a project bag filled with all the prepped supplies for all eight classes. They’ll be organized and ready to go.
  • Each class will have a specific start time (on the sea days) where there will be class demonstrations, techniques and instruction given.
  • You’ll also receive printed instructions with photos, so that you can work at your own pace.
  • In addition, the craft room will be open each day from 9:00am – midnight for your crafting enjoyment. You may decide to finish working on your class projects or choose to bring your own supplies and projects of your own to work on.
  • Children wanting to participate in the paper-crafting part of the cruise must be 16 years of age.

The cost for the Paper-Crafting portion is $250 and will include everything listed above as well as many extra surprises! A non-refundable $50 deposit is due to me when you register. Please pay via PayPal to tinarappe@charter.net or mail a check to:

How to tie a bow using a Bow Maker

One of my favorite accessories to use on a card is ribbon. We have so many to choose from and they coordinate with our cardstock and ink.  Many times, however, people struggle with making nice looking bows, so I thought I’d give you a tutorial on how to tie a bow using a bow maker.

This is a bow maker my dad made for me.  You can find these or similar ones pretty much everywhere.  Many people own them but nearly as many don’t know how to use them.  I featured the card below, which has a bow on it, on my blog last summer.  You can see the original post HERE.
