What a FUN Shaker Card!

I’ve got a really FUN Shaker card to share today.  I used tons of products from the Picture Perfect Party Suite and I have to say, this is one of my favorite shaker cards ever!

So, first off, I started with the Picture Perfect Party Cardstock pack and used the Bermuda Bay for the Card base and Lemon Lime Twist for one of the layers, which I embossed with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder.  The colorful print with the streamers on of the designs you’ll find in the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper.  I punched an opening in the DSP with the Tailored Tag Punch and attached a piece of Window Sheet behind the opening.   The sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.  I used some of the Iridescent Sequins for the shaker part.  I finished the card off with the adorable Birthday Mini Binder Clip which holds three different pieces of ribbon for a real festive flair!

One of my favorite suites in the Occasions catalog is the Picture Perfect Party Suite featured on pages 4 & 5 of the catalog.  The products in this suite are bright and festive.  Over the next few days I’ll be showcasing the products in this suite.  Today’s card features the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper.

Isn’t this fun?  I used a square piece of the striped print from the Picture Perfect Party DSP for the present, and the bow is actually one of the prints in the pack.  I just did a bit of fussy cutting and popped in on top of the present with some Stampin’ Dimensionals to add a bit of depth.  The gift tag was stamped with a sentiment fro the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.  I finished it off with some of the Tutti-Fruitti Adhesive Backed Sequins.

The Picture Perfect Party 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper comes with 48 sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.  One side has graphically designed imagery; the other side has photographic imagery (like the gift bow).

3 versatile ways to use the Petal Passion Suite

Today I’ve got 3 cards featuring some of the Petal Passion Suite products.  The Petal Palette stamp set has gorgeous brushstroke-style imagery.  The varied design creates realistic watercolor effects.  With beautiful floral and natural images as well as great sentiments, this 15 piece stamp set is a true winner.  Then there’s the Petals & More Thinlits Dies which  coordinate with many of the images in the stamp set.  I think the real sleeper in this suite is the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper.  Let’s take a look at some of the different ways to use the products in the suite.

I received this card in a swap from Rose Ward, who used the  leaf stamp as the background.  She then stamped the roses and the bird in Memento Ink and colored them in with Stampin’ Blends for a soft muted look before cutting out the images with the coordinating Petals & More Thinlits Dies.  Simply popping these die cuts off the card front adds real depth to the card.

Judy Anderson created this card which is stunning in its simplicity.  The Petal Passion Designer Series Paper was used for the background and it really sets the tone for this classic Black & White card.  I love the way she off-set the Whisper White layer to add interest.  And that pop of red with the bird is just the perfect finishing touch.

This final card created by Sharon McNeeley uses another print from the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper.  All she had to do to make the floral images pop was to add a bit of color with Stampin’ Write Markers.  Sharon colored them in with Berry Burst and Garden Green.  Did you notice the pretty label the sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set is stamped on?  That is another die from the Petals & More Thinlits.
