Keep it simple Christmas Card: Day 6

Wow, we’re already to day 6 of my Keep it simple Christmas card series.  All of the cards in this series are cards that are very quick and simple to make, so they’re ones you could easily mass produce for your card sending this Christmas season.

On the 6th day of Christmas…

Stampin' Up! Christmas Quilt stamp set, Stampin' Studio

We got a super classic Christmas color palette today with green and red.  The quilt print paper is from the Quilted Christmas 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper.  There are so many beautiful quilt print papers in this package, it’s hard to decide which to use.  The DSP is layered on a piece of Garden Green and then on a larger piece of Whisper White which is where the stamping takes place.  The tree is created with two different images from the Christmas Quilt stamp set.  The patterned triangles of the tree are one image and they’re stamped in Garden Green, while the solid colored triangles (again all of those triangles are on one stamp image) are stamped in Old Olive, so that when the two images are put together, it makes a complete tree!  The sentiment is also from the Quilted Christmas stamp set.  A knot was tied in a piece of Real Red 1/8″ Solid Ribbon and attached to the top of the tree with a Mini Glue Dot.  And there, folks, is card 6 in my Keep it simple Christmas card series.

Measurements:

Garden Green:  4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and 3=1/4″ x 3-1/4″

Basic Black: 4″ x 5-1/4″

Real Red: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″

Whisper White: 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″

…and now on to today’s card.

On the fifth day of Christmas…

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments stamp set, Stampin' Studio

On day two of this series I featured another card that used the Merry Music Designer Series Specialty Paper, so this time we’ve got a different print from the package.  The designer paper is layered on a piece of Cherry Cobbler and then a piece of the Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon was wrapped around the layers.  Next, we’ve got 2 banners created with the Banner Triple Punch.  The sentiment from Snowflake Sentiments as well as the circle and scalloped circle it’s layered on all were die-cut using the Layering Circles Framelits.  The final step is to pop the circle layers up off the card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals, and there we have the 5th simple Christmas card.

Measurements:

Whisper White Thick cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″

Cherry Cobbler: 5″ x 3-3/4″ and 1-1/2″ x 5″ for the banner and scrap for scallop circle

Basic Black: 1″ x 4-1/2″ for banner and scrap for circle

Whisper White: scrap for circle

Merry Music DSP: 4-3/4″ x 3-1/3″

Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon: 5″

Keep it Simple Christmas Card: Day 4

Today’s Keep it simple Christmas card is a bit on the elegant side, but trust me, it’s still very simple to make.

On the forth Day of Christmas…

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiment stamp set, Stampin' Studio

Products from the Year of Cheer Suite are what makes this card so special.  I’ve layered a piece of Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Next I ran a strip of the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape across the card.  The fancy Foil Snowflake which comes in a package of 12 silver and 12 gold snowflakes is what really makes this card pop.  The sentiment from Snowflake Sentiment was stamped in Soft Suede ink on a scalloped oval which was die-cut from the Layering Ovals Framelits and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  And just like that day four card is complete!

Measurements:

Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″

Whisper White: 4″ x 5-1/4″ and scrap for oval

Year of Cheer DSP: 4″ x 3″
