Painted Harvest Sunflower

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest stamp set, Leaf Punch, Stampin' Studio

The Painted Harvest Bundle has been the most popular fall themed products in the Holiday catalog.  I love the water color look of the images in the Painted Harvest stamp set, like the sunflower which is created with the two stop stamping technique; layering one image on top of another.  There are leaf images in the set that can quickly be cut out with the coordinating Leaf Punch.  The Painted Harvest stamp set and the Leaf Punch can be purchase separately or together in the bundle for a 10% savings.

I used the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder on the So Saffron card base for some texture.  I love how it also coordinates with the leaf stamp and the punch.  A bit more texture and interest was added with the use of the Stitched Shapes Framelits square that I stamped on.  Add a few Stampin’ Dimensionals under the matted image and tuck the leaves under the edge and this card is done!

Measurements:

So Saffron: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and 3″ x 3″ piece for framelit

Early Espresso: 3″ x 3″

Merry Little Labels Bundle

Today’s card is a super simple winter themed card featuring the Merry Little Labels Bundle.  I’ve paired the white and black snow flake print from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper with the “Let it Snow” stamp from the Merry Little Labels stamp set for a classy color combination.  Add  to that a bit of silver from the Silver Foil Sheets and the Mini Tinsel Trim and you’ve got yourself a festive little card that could be used for many different occasions this winter.

The Silver Foil piece behind the stamped image is simply punched out using the Everyday Label Punch (same one that punched out the “Let it Snow” image) and turned horizontal rather than vertical.  Don’t forget, you save 10%  when you order the Merry Little Labels stamp set and coordinating Everyday Label Punch together in the bundle.

Christmas Happiness

Stampin' Up!, Christmas Happiness stamp set, Stampin' Studio

Every time demonstrators gather together something happens, and that something happens to be swapping cards.  I received this beautiful card at our demonstrator event last month.  This card uses the Christmas Happiness stamp set which is fantastic with the pine boughs and pine cones.  There are even little Christmas lights and mistletoe and bows that can be added as well as some great sentiments.

There was no name attached to this card, so I don’t remember who made it, but I think it’s stunning.  Let me tell you….

3 things I love about this card

  1. I love the absolute simplicity of the card.  No fuss, no fancy folds, just a few layers of paper and a few colors of ink.
  2. I love the sponging of Crumb Cake ink around the edges of the stamped piece as adds depth and it allows your eye to be drawn to the lighter part of the image, where the sentiment is perfectly placed.
  3. I love the sparkle and shine.  You may not be able to see it well in the photo, but the word “peace” (which comes from the Christmas Quilt stamp set) was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.  After stamping the pine cone outlines in Early Espresso and stamping the filled in image with Crumb Cake, Wink of Stella was painted on the pine cones to make them shimmer…oh, so pretty.
