More with Colorful Seasons

Yesterday I shared a card I made using the Colorful Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Layers Framelits.  You can see that post HERE.  Today I wanted to share the exact same card layout using the same Colorful Seasons Bundle to show you how you can easily get different results just by changing a few elements of a card.

For today’s card I used a couple of the Crushed Curry prints from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack.  I stamped leaves from Colorful Seasons on the background paper for a bit of added interest.   Instead of using the snowflake dies, I chose the leaf but used the same technique as yesterday’s card by cutting part of the leaf out of the tag.  See how it’s the same design just changed up a bit?  Here’s yesterdays card so you can compare.

Now let’s go one further….

Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons Bundle, Colorful Seasons stamp set, Seasonal Layers Framelits, Stampin' Studio

…same layout, same stamps and same die…all I did was swap the color with Old Olive instead of Crushed Curry.  The papers are still from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack and the ribbon is the 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon from the Color Theory Suite just like the card above and yesterdays card (just different colors).

So, take a look at all three cards and leave a comment to let me know which card is your favorite.

Colorful Seasons & Seasonal Layers

Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons stamp set, Seasonal Layers Framelits, Stampin' Studio

One of my favorite products in the annual catalog is the Colorful Seasons Bundle which includes the Colorful Seasons stamp set and the Seasonal Layers Framelits which are shown on today’s card.  I know, I know, it’s July and I’m already showing a winter card!  Hey, it’s been hot here, so I thought this might be a way to cool down!

Today’s Color Palette

Stampin' Studio Color Palette 7-12-17

The color palette of Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky and Whisper White gives off a cool vibe, don’t you think?  Of course I wanted some texture on my card, so I used the Softly Falling Embossing Folder on the Whisper White Layer.  I created a tag made with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, which I then cut out part of the snowflake using one of the dies from the Seasonal Layers Framelits.  After tying a piece of Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon on the tag, I popped it off the card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Next, I die cut two snowflakes (with the same dies) from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and secured them to the card with Multi-purpose Glue.  The final touch is the banner stamped in Bermuda Bay that says thinking of you.

Stampin' Up! This Little Piggy stamp set, Stampin' Studio

Can we just agree that these pigs in the This Little Piggy stamp set are the cutest?  I mean, who can look at them without smiling.  I know, we’ve got lot’s of layers going on here for today’s card, but if you really look at it, it’s actually a pretty simple card.  So, let’s talk it through, okay?  The color palette of Berry Burst, Whisper White and Basic Black make a statement on their own.  Add to that two geometric patterns from the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper and you’ve got a winning combination.
