Fun Fold Card with Everyday Hero

Stampin' Up! Everyday Hero stamp set, Fun Fold Card, Dutch Door Fold, Stampin' StudioI thought it was time for another Fun Fold card, this time we’re using the Everyday Hero stamp set and a dutch door fold on this card which is super easy to do.  The card base starts out 11″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 5-1/2″ but the front panel is then cut down in height so that it’s only 2-3/4″ tall.  That ends up making it like a half door (or dutch door).  You can now see the super hero that is stamped on the inside of the card from the front of the card when the card is closed. I wanted the card to have a comic book feel to it so I went with the vibrant colors found in a comic book; Real Red, Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight.

On Stage Minneapolis

Stampin' Up! That's the Tag stamp set, Timeless Tags Thinlits, Stampin' Studio

Oh my gosh, what a fun couple of days!  Friday morning Peggy and I headed for Minneapolis for a Stampin’ Up!’s On Stage Local event.  Friday evening was a wonderful training event and dinner called Center Stage, which was an event for leaders in the company.  We got to visit with stampin’ friends we hadn’t seen in a long time and got to meet new friends we received a brand new stamp set  at the event.    But honestly, the best part of the evening was getting our hands on the new Annual catalog.  It’s beautiful, you’re going to love it.  There are so many wonderful new stamp sets, framelits, papers, colors, embellishments as well as many returning favorites…you’re going to be thrilled once June 1st comes around.  That’s when the new catalog goes live.

As is pretty typical for Stampin’ Up! events, there was a lot of swapping going on and a lot of treats for team members.  I made chocolate covered Oreo’s for my team members which were a big hit.  Saturday, at 7:30 in the morning the doors opened for the On Stage event and that’s when the fun really got going!

We had 17 of our team members in attendance at the event.   We all received a pretty canvas bag with a planner/ notebook, coordinating sticky notes and tabs to tag things in the new catalog, pens, pins, another new stamp set and a list of items we could pre order.   There were stamping demonstrations, and new product reveals, and make & takes with new product, and business training, and product giveaways (embellishments and a stamp set), and prize patrols (another stamp set) and dancing, and laughing, and eating, and photo taking, and samples…so much more.  We had a blast!

I put the cookies in on clear envelopes with the flap cut off and I tied it shut with the Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine.  The cute little tag was stamped with the That’s the Tag stamp set and cut out with the coordinating Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies.  Super sweet and simple and at a 10% savings for the bundle, it’s a great deal.
