Are you ready for fun card which is perfect for celebrating any occasion worth celebrating?  I mean really, how can you not be ready to have some fun when you see the confetti printed paper and balloons, right?    I used the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits to create the focal point of the front of the card…but did you realize the die was created to be a pop-up for the inside of the card.  Yup, that’s right, there are various ways you can use just this piece from the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies.  Check out the video Stampin’ Up! put together HERE.

  I wanted to add a bit more interest to the card with a few different patterns to the balloon bouquet, so I stamped the balloon images from the Balloon Adventures stamp set and punched them out with the Balloon Bouquet punch.  The banner was stamped with the Balloon Adventures stamp set and then I hand trimmed (also known as fussy cutting) around the banner.   I love adding dimension to my projects and one of the easiest ways to do that is to pop something off the page with the use of some Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I used them under the balloons and the banner.  My color palette came directly from the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper  from page 173 of the Annual Catalog.  I am always drawn to Basic Black with a pop of Melon Mambo…Love It!

Yesterday I shared the Cool Treats Explosion Scrapbook Box I made using the Cool Treats Product Suite (you can see that post HERE), and today I wanted to share with you a card using the same products.  The Cool Treats Product Suite, which can be seen on pages 32 & 33 of the Occasions Catalog, includes the Cool Treats stamp set, the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies, and the Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper, all of which I used on today’s card, as well as a few I didn’t use today, such as the Tasty Treats Washi Tape, The Sprinkles Embellishments and the Peekaboo Peach Ombre Stampin’ Pad.

I love how adorable the ice cream treats are when they’re stamped and cut out with the Frozen Treats Framelits and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The sentiments come from the Suite Sentiment stamp set featured on page 54 of the Occasions Catalog.  I used the Watermelon Wonder 5/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon under the images for an extra pop of color and texture.  Did you also notice the texture that was also added with the use of the Stitched Shapes Framelits in the circles that have the sentiments on them?  I find it amazing how just that little extra touch adds so much to the project.

  • Sizes: Whisper White card base is 1″ x 4-1/4″ scored at 5-1/2″.  Watermelon Wonder is 3-3/4″ x 4-3/4″.  Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper is 3-1/2″ x  2-1/2″ for the light print and 3-1/2″ x 2″ for the darker print.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been sharing projects that were created by other designers for Craft Project Central.  Well, today’s the day I get to share my creation.  The Cool Treats Explosion Scrapbook was created by me!  Is it a gift box or a scrapbook?  It’s both because it’s an Explosion Scrapbook Box using the Cool Treats Suite shown on pages 32 & 33 in the 2017 Stampin’ Up!
