Cookie Cutter Builder Punch

Last night was my Punch of the Month class featuring the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  At the class we made four different cards using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and the two coordinating stamp sets, Cookie Cutter Christmas and Cookie Cutter Halloween.  When I saw the scarecrow in the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set, I knew I wanted to pair it with the “Hang in there” sentiment from the Here for You stamp set for a fun twist on an old saying.

Ready, Set, Cut

Dapper Denim: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″

scrap for Oval

Cajun Craze: 4″ x 5 1/4″

Delightful Dijon: 3 3/4″ x 5″

Very Vanilla: 3″ x 1/2″ for banner

scrap for Oval

Moroccan Nights DSP: 3/4″ x 3″ for banner

Petals & Paisley DSP: 3/8″ x 3″ for banner

After embossing the Delightful Dijon piece with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder I layered the large pieces of card stock one on top of the other.  The ovals were die cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits and the scarecrow was stamped in Stazon to allow coloring with ink and a blender pen.  Notice the Linen Thread around the scarecrow’s head?  That’s all the embellishment this card needs besides the three fun banners that tie all the colors together.

Adult Coloring with Paisleys & Posies

You know how adult coloring books are all the rage?  Well, now you can do some adult coloring with Paisleys & Posies stamp set.  This is the shoe box swap card Gail shared at our Girls Get Away Weekend.  It was my favorite because of the bright cheeriness and the fact that it has lots of coloring.

Calypso Coral: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ for card base

and 2 1/2″ x 3/8″ for banner

Night of Navy: 4″ x 5 1/4″

Whisper White: 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″

and scraps for Posie Die Cuts

The first thing you’re going to do for this card is stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy on the Whisper White card stock.   This will ensure that you have room for the words, where as if you’re like me, you may get carried away with too many posies, then there’s not room for the sentiment.  Next stamp the various posies from Paisleys & Posies in Night of Navy ink randomly all  over the card stock making sure to leave some open white space.  Now the fun comes in where you can color to your hearts content.  As much as I love this card, I’ll admit, I will not be making a stack of them simply because it took me about an hour to color this one.  Don;t get me wrong, it was wonderfully relaxing to color, but who’s got that kind of time to make a stack of them, right?  So anyway, I colored in with the Calypso Coral and Marina Mist Stampin’ Write Markers, and added a few Rhinestones here and there.  Also, if you look closely you’ll be able to see that some of the posies are cut out with the coordinating Paisley Framelits Dies and popped up with Dimensionals.  Don’t you just love the way it looks?

Holly Berry Happiness Bundle

Over the weekend I had a “Get Away Weekend” with some of my team members that registered for a fun time.  There’s a beautiful home about 10 minutes from my house that we rent for the weekend and it is perfect for retreats.  Over the course of the weekend we work on what ever we feel like working on.  We each create a project for everyone else to make.  This is called a shoe box swap simply because you put all of the product and card stock needed for the project in a box.  This is the card I made for my shoe box swap.  It uses the Holly Berry Happiness Bundle and the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper.
