It’s Friday and that’s the beginning of the weekend, so how about a cool summer drink?  I can hardly believe this is the last weekend of the summer because next weekend is Labor Day weekend and we all  know that’s the official end of summer.

This super fun card was created and shared on a display board by team member Amanda Waldhart.  The stamp set is called Mixed Drinks and it’s awesome because there are many different glasses and mugs to choose from.  So all you have to do is stamp a few drinks, fill them up by coloring with markers directly on the stamps and invite a few friends over.  The fringe was created by snipping card stock with the  Fringe Scissors and really makes it tropical and fun.

Today’s card features emboss resist without embossing.  I bet you’re wondering how that’s possible aren’t you?  It all starts with the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper

The card base is Basic Black with a layer of Silver Foil Paper and another layer of Basic Black.  The stunning black and white floral layer is actually the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper which has been sponge brayered with Basic Black Ink.  Once the paper is brayered all you have to do is wipe off the excess ink with a tissue to reveal the pre-embossed design.  It’s like magic!  The silver foil paper swirl was cut out using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits.  Next the sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink on a piece of Basic Black ink and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  The finishing touches are some Rhinestone Basic Jewels and some 1/8″ Silver Ribbon and there you have a classic Black, White and Silver Wedding Card.
