Sneak Peek using Merriest Wishes

I’ve got a sneak peek using Merriest Wishes from the new Holiday Catalog which starts this Thursday, September 1st.  This catalog has such amazing stamp sets and paper, and embellishments and ribbons, and dies, and embossing folders and more.  I created this card for a swap I was in over the weekend.  I’ve been able to include six new sneak peek products in this card.  Let me tell you all about them.

Knowing I wanted to use a lot of new product on this card I started out with some traditional Christmas colors.  I used a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Emerald Envy and attached a 2 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White to the lower edge and then I ran it through the new Cable Knit Embossing Folder.  This embossing folder is amazing as it’s thicker than any folders we’ve had and it gives a very deep embossed image which is stunning.  Next I wrapped a piece of the new Real Red Stitched Edge Ribbon around the embossed layer and attached it to the Real Red card base.  I cut the ornament out with the Merry Tags Framelits and them stamped the sentiment from the Merriest Wishes stamp set on to the ornament piece (these two items are sold in a bundle to save you 10%).  If you look closely you can see the green tree in the ornament sparkling.  I accomplished this by rubbing Versamark ink directly onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and then heat embossing it with the new Emerald Envy Glitter Stampin’ Emboss Powder and attached this piece behind the ornament  with dimensionals.  You will love this glitter embossing powder it’s gorgeous and also comes in Real Red.  The last step was to attach a piece of the new Candy Cane Lane Bakers Twine to the ornament.  This bakers twine comes in a two pack with solid Real Red and the one I used on the card which is white and red gimmer together and it looks so festive.

Now don’t forget, you can start ordering from the new Holiday Catalog on September 1st.  All you have to do is click on my shop now button and it will take you to my online store.  Happy Stampin’

Don’t you love the texture on this card?  It may surprise you to hear that the texture you see in the background paper is actually not textured at all.  Nope!  It’s printed paper from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack.  Isn’t it stunning?  I flower from Touches of Texture was stamped on the designer paper and colored in with Stampin’ Write Markers.  Next the new Burlap Ribbon was wrapped around the card and tied in a knot.  The last step is adding the sentiment from Birthday Blooms.  Clean & Simple and you’re done.

Fruit Stand Flowers

I’m away at a stamping event in Michigan this weekend with my sister Peggy.  I arrived very late Thursday evening and was up bright and early Friday morning for a day filled with business training, stamping and swapping.  This is one of the swap cards I received.  Unfortunately no name was on the card, so I can’t give credit to the creator.

Fresh Fruit

I love the simplicity of this card in that it’s a Whisper White card base with a layer of Peekaboo Peach and another layer of Whisper White.  The Fresh Fruit stamp set which is a two step stamping set is the only set used on the card.  There are no bells and whistles but it’s a beautiful and simple card.
