Pine trees with Thoughtful Branches

Did you even notice the beautiful pine tree in the Thoughtful Branches stamp set?  There are so many images in the set, I think it’s easy to over look a few and for me the pine tree was one of them.  I intended this card to be a simple card perfect for a guy but it could also be the start of a Christmas card.

I found it easiest to stamp the greenery first which makes lining the trunk up super easy.  I  am loving the font of the sentiments in the Thoughtful Branches set too.  The stunning printed paper comes from the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper Pack and I think it adds some interest on an otherwise very simple card.

Don’t forget today is the day the stamp set and the thinlits can be ordered.

I stamped the leaves with Cucumber Crush on Soft Sky card stock, then I added the tree trunk and the sentiment in Early Espresso.  Did you notice how well the Petal Burst Embossing Folder coordinates with the leaves from Thoughtful Branches?  I love it when things that aren’t made to go together work so well with one another.  I stamped the apples in Watermelon Wonder and cut them out with the Beautiful Branches Thinlits.  and finally I tied a piece of the Watermelon Wonder Mini Striped Ribbon around the card.  Be sure to come back everyday this week for more great ideas of projects you can make with the Thoughtful Branches Bundle.  And, when you place your online order with me be sure to use

Little Frog in a Jar

I remember being afraid of frogs as a kid, but I think I could have handled this little frog in a jar.  This is the final card I have to share from a group of my stampers that get together on a monthly basis to stamp with each other.  This is the card Jeanette Londerville created and shared with the group

Jeanette used a few different stamp sets for this card so let me run through what she did.  First of all she used the Jar of Love Bundle stamping the jar on a window sheet and die cut both the jar and the fireflies with the Everyday Jars Framelits.  Next the frog comes from the hostess stamp set called Love You Lots.  The pretty grasses come from the Wetlands set.  I think she  did an amazing job of coordinating all these stamp sets together, don’t you?
