Three Step Stampin’

Three Step Stamping is when you stamp three different images on top of one another to create a complete design with multiple shades and colors.  One of the prettiest stamp sets for achieving the Three Step Stampin’ technique is the Gift of Love hostess stamp set.

My color palette comes directly from the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper.  I wanted a soft look to the ink just like the designer paper, so I stamped off first before stamping onto my card stock.  The sentiment is layered with the Tags & Labels Framelits.  I added the Tip Top Taupe Mini Striped Ribbon between the two patterns of designer paper.

You can choose the Gift of Love hostess stamp as part of your hostess rewards when you place an order of $150 or more.

Time to Party with Confetti Celebration

Confetti Celebration

With the party balloons, the festive party lights you can tell it’s Time to Party!  The zig-zag black and white print comes from the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper and gives a strong element behind the main focal point.  Next the balloons certainly will help your brain register that there’s a party going on.  Finally the use of the Layering Squares Framelits in both scallop and straight lines add some real pop to the sentiment.

“Case-ing” from the Catalog

I’m sure you’ve heard about “Case-ing” in relationship to stamping: it stands for Copy And Share Everything.  And that’s exactly what I did for today’s card.  Take a look at page 89 of the Annual Catalog.  The only thing that I changed was the Designer Paper.

Badges & Banners

At first I thought about changing the colors, but then I thought why do that it’s so stinkin’ cute as it is.  There’s only one little trick to making this card and that is the bird cage with the layered frame.  First I stamped the bird cage image in Memento ink on Whisper White card stock.  Then I used the Best Badge Punch on the Pool Party card stock and layered it over the bird cage with dimensionals making sure the image showed perfectly through the punched out hole.  The trick to making sure the stamped image is in the right place it simply to trim off any of the Whisper White card stock that shows from behind the Pool Party piece.
