Sometimes you just need a card that’s about nothin’ at all just sayin’ hello. That’s what this card featuring the Love You Lots Stamp set is all about. The frog makes me laugh because…well…he’s just there sitting and staring. The In Color Designer Series Paper Stack is where the Emerald Envy polka dot paper comes from. Next stamp the frog in Basic Black and cut out with the Tags’ & Labels Framelits and layer with Basic Black.
A simple card can be jazzed up pretty quick with an unexpected fold. The Sweet Sugarplum card base is 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. All you have to do to make the Z-fold is fold it in half and then fold the front back on itself. Ta-da you’ve got yourself a Z-fold card. From there I added some Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper and the Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon. Next I stamped the sentiment from Layering Love and layered the squares cut from the Layering Squares Framelits. Even the cute scalloped edged square came from the framelits. Finally the sentiment layers were attached to the card front with dimensional only along the left edge.
Sometimes simplicity can really be stunning. That’s the case with today’s card featuring the Falling Flowers stamp set and the coordinating May Flowers Framelits.
I was able to get a soft a subtle element to the card by stamping off the Smoky Slate ink from the swirly vines image from the Falling Flowers stamp set. The leaves and flower buds were then colored in with Stampin’ Write Markers. The delicate leaf and flower were cut out easily with the May Flowers Framelits and Big Shot. Next I attached these delicate elements to the card with the Fine Tip Glue Pen which comes in very handy with the super thin petals. Finally, the birthday greeting comes from the Wetlands stamp set.
