Monochromatic Butterfly

There is  something very soothing about a monochromatic card.  This monochromatic card uses various shades of brown and it really portrays an earthy natural tone.

Butterflies Thinlits

There are a lot of layers stamped on this card that you may have missed, so let me point them out to you.  First of all the splotch of Early Espresso was water colored onto the Water Color Paper with an Aqua Painter.  Next the ferns from Butterfly Basics was stamped once in Early Espresso and again in Tip Top Taupe.  The white fern was stamped in VersaMark and Heat Embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Next the post mark image was stamped in early espresso and then Early Espresso ink was splattered on the card stock with a flick of the Aqua Painter.  The Tip Top Taupe butterfly was die cut using the Butterfly Thinlits and finished off with some Linen Thread and Seam Binding Ribbon.Seam Binding Ribbon. Aqua Painter.

Watch it Wednesday: Z- Fold

Today’s card is brought to you by the letter “Z” as in Z-Fold Card.

Work of Art, Remembering Your Birthday

I love this sentiment from Remembering Your Birthday and I really wanted to use it before it officially retired on May 31st.  When I think sprinkles I think of ice cream, so we’ve got a card that’s Pirouette pink and has sprinkles in the form of the Confetti Embossing Folder.

Brick Wall

The Brick Wall Embossing Folder is super popular because of it’s versatility but have you ever tried stamping on the card stock after you’ve embossed it?  It doesn’t work so great does it?

You're Remarkable

The trick here is simple….Stamp the flowers and sentiment from Remarkable You in Stazon onto the Whisper White card stock first.  Next watercolor the flowers in using So Saffron ink and an Aqua Painter.  Once the water dries…now run it through the Brick Wall Embossing Folder.  Voila’ perfect images!
