Fall Fest: Project 5

The fifth project set for Fall Fest was this sweet note card set with holder which my team member and niece, Katie Campbell designed.

The note cards and the adorable holder all feature the Peaceful Pines stamp set and coordinating Thinlits.

My favorite lights on a Christmas Tree are the all white lights, so I love how the “string of lights” show up on the tree.  The tree in the background congers up childhood memories of the Charlie Brown’s Tree.  We added a bit of bling with some Gold Glitter paper.

The second card used some of the elegant Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and the Chalk Talk Framelits to make the super cool tag.

To create the little box that holds the cards and envelopes we started with a
6 ½” x 6 ½” piece of Garden Green card
stock and the Envelope Punch Board.

Line up the edge of the card stock at 3 1/8” on the Envelope Punch Board – score in the diagonal score line and punch.  Turn card stock 90 degrees – line the score line up with the point, score and punch again.  Repeat on all 4 sides.

Next: With paper trimmer – line score line up at ¼”
and score, repeat this on three sides.  Fold on the score lines – trim off one edge on the score line.

Apply Snail adhesive to the flaps to put the box together.  Finally the box was embellished with more fancy Vellum and pretties.  The two note cards and envelopes fit perfectly in their own little package.

Tomorrow I will share the final project from Fall Fest as well as all of the goodies everyone received.  See you tomorrow.

Fall Fest: Projet 4

The fourth project set we worked on at Fall Fest was the Flurry of Wishes card set which was inspired by some designs by my friend Ronda Wade. Once the cards and envelopes were finished, they were packaged up in a clear box which showcased the cards beautifully.

Everyone received their very own Flurry of Wishes stamp set to use and take home with them as well as a package of the Iced Rhinestone Embellishments and the Gold & White Glitter Ribbon.

The texture from the Boughs and Berries Embossing Folder makes this card stunning.

The second card has Silver Heat Embossing and some of the White Glitter Ribbon as well as the Snow Flurry Punch which perfectly punches out the stamped images.

Card three has some sponging on it and is beautiful in shades of Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky and Whisper White.

On this last card we used the Winter Wonderland Embellishments to make the stack of snow flakes sparkle even more.

I’ve got two more sets of projects to share with you over the next couple days and then I’ll share how you can get directions or a kit to make the Winter Wishes Framed Art.

I’ll see you back here tomorrow!

Fall Fest: Project 3

For our Fall Fest Retreat, we not only create a bunch of cards, but we also did a “giftables” project.

Three different ideas to make as great gifts or items to sell at craft fairs.

We took a pint Mason jar and wrapped burlap around it and decked it out with fall leaves, a clothespin, and a bit of Linen Thread.  All the gift giver  would need to do to finish this off is to fill the jar with some candy, granola, or a special treat and it’s ready to go.

The second gift idea was to take one of our Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bag and “fancy it” up.  It’s kind of hard to tell from the photo, but we sponged Marine Mist ink on the bottom of the bag, and Soft Sky on the middle of the bag and left the top portion plain.  This gave us a three tone affect.  We created a fun tag with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and a simple banner and embellished it with a Snowflake embellishment.  Inside the bag we put a York Peppermint Patty and sealed it up with Washi tape.

The final gift idea was a huge hit.  We decorated a Hershey’s candy bar to look like a chimney with Santa stuck inside.  The chimney was created with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder and we colored in the mortar with the White Gel Pen.

Santa himself is purely punch art.  His boots are 2 Basic Black pieces punched with the Sweetheart Punch.  The Fur is from the Tree Builder Punch cut from Whisper White card stock.  His pant legs are Real Red card stock cut 1″ x 1 1/2″ and finally the top of the chimney is Whisper White 1/2″ x3″.  Wouldn’t these make adorable stocking stuffers?

I also forgot to mention that with each project we made all Fall Fest attendees received another gift in the form of more product.  For the Project 1, the Vintage leaves card set, everyone got a package of the Linen Thread.  For project 2. the Winter Wishes card set everyone got a package of Snowflake Elements and for Project 3, the Giftables everyone got a package of the Silver Cording.

Tomorrow we’re onto project 4, so be sure to check back to see what we made.
