Fall Fest

I’m so excited that I can finally share with you all of the things I’ve been working on for our annual Fall Fest Retreat.  Fall Fest is a day long, fun filled retreat, that team member and good friend, Amanda Waldhart and I put on over the weekend.  Two other team members, my sister and niece Peggy Murwin & Katie Campbell hosted  the same event in Illinois.
Last week I showed you some of my prep work, but I didn’t show you what it was for.

All of this turned into….

… the Fall Fest Project Box…

…filled with 6 classes (projects) the attendees would be making throughout the day.

And, because Stamping and chocolate go hand in hand, everyone got a sweet little French Fry Box filled with sweet chocolate treats.

We had a special gift of a Note Pad Holder for all those who had never attended Fall Fest before.  We call these stampers “Newbies”.

The Note Pad Holder opened up and looks adorable on a desk.

Sue, Kristi, Suzann, Sheila, Sharon and Mary were “Newbies” this year.

We also recognized our “All-Timers” with had made Acorn Cookie treats.  They are Vanilla Wafers with a Hershey’s Kiss attached with melted chocolate.  The tops of the acorns are butterscotch chips.
“All-timers” are those stampers that have attended Fall Fest every year.

Jo, Erin, Leslie, Lori, Kathy, Colleen, Elise, Tina D., and Maxine were “All-Timers” this year.

I’ve got tons of other things to show you from Fall Fest, like all 6 class projects as well as many surprises they received, games we played, lunch decorations, cards contest and swapping… Be sure to come back everyday this week to see all of the fun.

A Little Trick or Treat Bag

With just one week until Halloween, I thought I’d share an adorable idea I got from fellow demonstrator Jill Olsen, while I was at Founders Circle.

I used our Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bag and stamped a few of the images from Witches Night directly on the bag in Whisper White Craft ink and Basic Black.  Next one of the Spider Web Doilies was attached along with a piece of Burlap Ribbon and a tiny banner from the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper.  The main image is stamped with Witches Night and cut out with Lots of Labels Framelits and the most adorable part of the whole thing is the witches hat made of Black Glimmer Paper.  The hat is attached to a Cloths Pin and adorned with a Bow Builder Punch bow made from the Happy Haunting DSP.

Happy Birthday from Tin of Cards

I had a lot of fun creating new projects from the Tin of Cards Kit.  I was amazed at all of the things in the kit, like the wooded “word bubbles”.

For this card I used the Bermuda Bay Striped card base from the kit and stamped the adorable border using the Tin of Cards stamp set.  Memento Ink works great for stamping on the wooden word bubble.  The final touch on this quick card was the banners, and there you have it.

Saturday is my Fall Fest Day Long Retreat, so I’ll be busy finishing up details for that today.  After the event I’ll start sharing all of the fun projects we made.  Until then, have a wonderful day.
