Every Cloud has a Silver Lining

I’ve said it many times, but I’ve got no problem in saying it again… The Sprinkles of Life stamp set is awesome!

Look what you can do by using the image that is a scoop of ice cream or the top of a cup cake.  You can make a cloud and a card to let some one know there’s a bright side no matter how bad things are looking.  I kept with a Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate color palate and added lots of layers for interest.

It’s Like Mint Chocolate Chip….

Have you played with the new In Colors much yet?  What?, you’re not sure how you feel about them?  New things take a while to get used to I know, but I am having a ball playing with the new colors and pairing them with some of the old favorites.

The stamp set is the Sprinkles of Life and it has a coordinating punch called the Tree Builder Punch.  I started with a base of Tip Top Taupe (new In Color), added some Whisper White and Chocolate Chip and finished it with Mint Macaron (another new In Color).  This card reminds me of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.  It’ so yummy.  Now, what do you think if these two new In Colors?

Get Well

This bright cheery card featuring the “Get Well Soup” stamp is sure to get the recipient on the road to recovery.

I stamped the image in Island Indigo on a piece of Whisper White and used the Lots of Labels Framelits to cut it out.  After cleaning the stamp off I colored marker directly on to the stamp (the heart in the bowl with the Real Red Marker and the bowl itself in Island Indigo)  I stamped this on a scrap piece of Whisper White and cut out the front of the bowl with paper snips.  Dimensionals helped pop the bowl out for a 3 dimensional look.
Take a very close look and you’ll see that I did some paper piercing around the framelit piece using the new Updated Essentials Paper Piercing Templates.  The final touch on the card is the Real Red Scallops which were created with the Striped Scallop Thinlits.
