Embossed Butterflies

I received this beautiful card in a swap a while back.  I love the distressed look of the card.

The butterfly image is from the “Papillion Potpourri” stamp set and punched out with the coordinating Elegant Butterfly Punch after heat embossing with Black Embossing Powder.  The two toned effect of the butterfly was achieved with a sponge dauber and Marina Mist ink sponged over the So Saffron butterfly.

A Splash of Color

The Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper used on this card reminds me of water spraying lots of color.  I love it!

The greeting is from the “Label Love” stamp set which coordinates with the Artisan Label Punch (Both are retiring).  The Happy Heart Embossing Folder gives the perfect texture to the white space in the card while the tiny hearts punched from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack is the perfect fit inside the embossed hearts.

Screen Fold Card

I made this fun card at a shoe box swap  while back.  It’s so much easier than it looks.

The card stock is cut 5 1/2″ x 11″ and is scored at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″.  The bottom of each panel is created by punching out a piece with the Decorative Label Punch.  The flowers are stamped with the “Petal Potpourri” stamp set and punched out with the coordinating Flower Medallion Punch.  The sentiments come from Petite Pairs while the leaves are from  “An Open Heart” stamp set.
