In Color Butterflies

As the 2013-2015 In Colors will very soon be retiring, I thought I’d share a fun card using most of these In Colors. 

 
 
 I started out punching some butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly Punch and the Bitty Butterfly Punch using the 2013 – 2015 In Colors of Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Coastal Cabana.  I used Snail adhesive to adhere them to a piece of Whisper White card stock which I then ran through the Spring Garden Embossing Folder.  This was attached to a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Strawberry Slush which was attached to a Whisper White card base.  I stamped hi from “Regarding Dahlias” stamp set and punched it out with the
1 1/4″ Circle Punch which was layered on a 1 3/8″ circle of Strawberry Slush.  The Rhinestone Jewel finished the card off.

I am loving the reference to a tool box here on this card.
 
 
I used Real Red for the card base and paired it with Basic Black as those are the colors of my husbands tool box.  Next I used the Silver Foil Paper with the Argyle Embossing folder for the texture.  The “Nuts” are made by punching a 1/2″ circle in a piece of Silver Foil Paper, then punching the Hexagon Punch around the circle hole.  Isn’t that clever?  I popped the nuts up with Dimensionals for a more realistic look.  I used the Mini Brads for a little extra manly bling.  The sentiment comes from the “Nuts About You” hostess stamp set.

Here’s another masculine card that would be great to let the guy in your life know you think he’s great!
 
 
I used Basic Grey for the card base which I cut 8 1/4″ long by 4 1/4″ high and I scored it at 5 1/2″.  I attached a piece of Natural White card stock to the inside of the card.  The flap that opens is embellished with some of the Adventure Bound DSP, Washi Tape and Neutral Buttons.  The sentiment comes from the Crazy About You stamp set.  You guessed it, this is another card from Fast & Fabulous card class this week.
