You Brighten My Day & Irrisistably Yours DSP

Time for me to start sharing all of the projects we made at Stampin’ Sisters Retreat this past weekend.  Friday night was Project 1 which was a set of 6 cards that used the Sale-a-bration stamp set they received in their goodie bag, “You Brighten My Day”.  The cards also featured a second Sale-a-bration item, which was the Irresistibly Yours DSP.

For the first card the stripes of the DSP were colored in with markers.

Card 2 used Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy sponged on the star DSP with the excess ink rubbed off with a paper towel.  Epoxy Stickers, which coordinate so well with this stamp set were used as great accents over the stars which were stamped in the corner.

Card 3 used Rich Razzleberry Ink on the flowered DSP and Epoxy Stickers were also used for this card.

There are 3 more great cards from Project one that I will share with you tomorrow, so be sure to come on back.

Stampin’ Sisters Retreat: Day 3

On the third and final day of Stampin’ Sisters Retreat each of the stampers received this pen and note holder.  These were a hit because the pen has a stylus for smart phones or tablets and one end of the pen has a highlighter attached (to mark in their catalogs all of the product they own).

We created one final project on Sunday, played more Plinko for prizes, packed up, said good bye and everyone was on their way home.

Here’s a picture of the group of 60 stampers plus myself and Peggy.  What an amazing and fun group of women I am fortunate enough to call my friends.

This is a picture of my niece Katie who attended retreat for the first time this year (hard to tell from this picture – or in person for that matter – that she’s 30 something).  Any way, I think this photo sums up how all the stampers are feeling after the fun filled weekend.  We’re all exhausted, as we kept them busy all weekend long, but everyone is ready to see what’s in store for next years Stampin’ Sisters Retreat.

Be sure to check back this week when I’ll be sharing all of the projects we made.

Stampin’ Sisters Retreat Day 2

I refer to my sister Peggy Murwin quite often on this blog.  She’s my big sister, my best friend and my very first recruit nearly 11 years ago.  She and I put on the “Stampin’ Sisters Retreat” every year.  It is SO MUCH FUN!!!

Day 2 everyone received this large bag with our logo filled with projects 2-7 packages up and ready for stamping and assembly as well as Sticky Strip, Artisan Embellishment Kit, Mini Brads, Neutral Candy Dots, Brights Candy Dots, Wood Mount Case, Printers Tray, Designer Series Paper.  They also received the sports Bottle with our logo on it.

We had prize Patrol and if your color was chosen, you got to run
up to play a game of Plinko and win some awesome Stampin’ Up product.

Our lunch was a Baked Potato Bar with all the fixin’s, salad and chili.  It was delicious.

We had our annual card swap in which 55 of the 60 ladies at retreat participated. The cards were amazing.

Those that participated in the swap received the Snapshot stamp set from us.

We then had a card contest and the top 3 vote getters received a gift.

1st place: Jane Campbell

 2nd place: Sheila Stevens

3rd place: Sue Coomber

Be sure t check back tomorrow with more details about retreat Day 3.
