Stampin’ Sisters Retreat Day 1

Oh my gosh, so much fun!  Last night was day 1 of our 9th annual Stampin’ Sisters Retreat.

Every year for the past 9 years my sister Peggy and I hold a 3 day Stampin’ Retreat.  Here’s a picture of the room ready to go for the 60 stampers attending.

Everyone received a goodie bag filled with the supplies for “Project 1” (I’ll share all the projects in upcoming posts) as well as a Sale-a-bration stamp set, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Epoxy Stickers and a Stampin’ Sponge.

And because nothing goes together better than chocolate (and sweets) and stampin’ everyone received a berry basket filled with some sweet treat.

Of the 60 women in attendance we had 12 “Newbies” this year.  These women have never attended our retreat before.  They were each honored with a gift bag that had a “Chalk board art” card holder.

Next we honored our “All Timers”.  These 5 women have attended Stampin’ Sisters Retreat every single year and were honored with a personalized scissor charm.

And finally we honored our Team Members who attended retreat.  We had a total of 9 team members attending ad the each received a “chalk board art” clock.

Be sure to check back tomorrow when I share details of Day 2.

Soft and Sweet

I am so smitten by the color combination of Sahara Sand and Blushing Bride, They are so soft and sweet together.  The Something Borrowed DSP creates the backdrop for this card.  The stamped flower is from Petal Potpourri and punched out with the coordinating Flower Medallion Punch.  Did you notice the soft rose flower on top of the stamped flower?  That comes from the Artisan Embellishment Kit and it gives the card perfect finishing touch.

Lots of Labels Framelits Layers

The Labels Framelits takes a simple Crumb Cake card base up a notch.  Notice how the Labels Framelits is cut through the front and backside of the card and then a focal image from the “Painted Petals” stamp set is layered with a couple more Labels Framelits and attached vertically over the opening.

Repeat the same layout for the inside of the card and you’ve got a fun card design!
