Project 3: Easter Frame

One of my favorite things to create with paper crafting is seasonal frames.  This time instead of using a regular picture frame, I used a printers tray.

This project was a big hit at  our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat last weekend.  The supply list for this project was long, but well worth the end results.  There’s a lot of detail in tis project from the textured Easter basket to the Fringe Scissor grass.  In fact this project follows my basic rule for card making, that is texture, layer and embellish.

I hope you’re enjoying the projects I’ve been sharing from the Stampin’ Sisters Retreat.  Tomorrow we’re onto project 4.

Project 2: Gift Card Holders

For the second project for our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat we used the “Hooray, It’s Your Day Project Kit in a new way.  Everyone received the kit and we paired with the “B.Y.O.P” stamp set.

This is everything inside the kit.  We used parts and pieces of the kit to make gift card holders.

Card 1 is the perfect card to give for a wedding.

because the inside holds a gift card in the flap.

How about a sweet card for the new baby?

A fun pocket inside will hold a gift card.

How about a beautiful card to thank someone who does nice things for you?

The file folder pocket inside holds the gift card here.

The last card in project 2 makes a great birthday card for that hard to buy for person on your list.

Pick up a gift card, slip it in the pocket and let them do the shopping.

Tomorrow, we’re onto project 3 which is a whimsical Easter Frame you’re going to LOVE!!!

More “You Brighten My Day”

Yesterday I shared the first 3 cards that were part of Project 1 from our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat.  Today, I’m sharing the other 3 cards from Project 1. These cards all feature the “You Brighten My Day” Sale-a-bration stamp set (everyone that attended retreat received the stamp set in their goodie bag).

The Irresistibly Yours DSP (another Sale-a-bration item) was sponged with Crisp Cantaloupe ink in an hombre technique (going from darker at the top and lighter at the bottom).  It may be a little hard to tell from the photo but the card has a unique fold where it opens from the left to the right and then the other flap opens to reveal in the inside of the card.

How about a little patriotism?  The striped Irresistibly Yours DSP was sponged with Real Red Ink and the stars have the coordinating Epoxy Stickers on them.  Did you also notice the coordinating Stars Embossing on the card base?

The final card in the series did not use the Irresistibly Yours DSP but it did continue the trend of the “You Brighten My Day” stamp set.  The Happy Hearts Embossing Folder and the Confetti Hearts Boarder punch coordinate so well with the heart image from he Sale-a-bration stamp set.  Once again we pulled out those Epoxy Stickers as a little extra bling.

Tomorrow I’ll be sharing Project 2.  You’ll love it!  But in the mean the don’t miss these…

HOT OFF THE PRESSES!!!!

Check out the new photopolymer stamp set called “Just Kidding”.  I love the sarcasm in the sentiments.  This is going on my next order!
