Coordinating Product

There are many reasons I really love Stampin’ Up! product…one of them is the fact that our products coordinate.  Check out all of the coordinating products on this card my sister Peggy Murwin made.  First of all the Focal image of the Christmas tree comes the “Festival of Trees” stamp set which has a coordinating punch.  Next the stamped trees behind the focal image comes from the “Christmas Bliss” stamp set and it coordinates perfectly with the punched out tree and the trees in the All is Calm Washi Tape used below the focal image.  And finally, the star on top of the tree punched with the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack in Gold Glimmer Paper coordinates with the Confetti Stars Punch which was punched in Whisper White card stock and layered on top of Gold Glimmer Paper.  Love it!

All is Calm Snnowflake Embellishment

So, how do you make an ordinary card something special?  Add some bling!  In this case I have a simple card with some strips of Washi tape and a greeting which is layered on top.  To balance out the card and make it special, I tied the All is Calm Snowflake Embellishment to a piece of ribbon and attached it to the front of the card with a Glue Dot.  I then colored a rhinestone jewel with Blendabilites and attached this to the snowflake for some additional bling.

Dutch Door Fold

Do you remember the TV show Mr. Ed?  He was a talking horse.  This Dutch Door Fold reminds me of Mr. Ed because in the open of the show Mr. Ed stuck his head out a Dutch Door, where the bottom of the door was closed and the top was opened.

I cut a card base from Mossy Meadow which was 11″ x 4 1/4″ and scored at
5 1/2″.  I then cut half of the card front in half the long way at 2 1/8″ and cut that piece off.  That left the “bottom of the door” as the front of the card.  I decorated the front flap with stars from the Stars Framelits to coordinate with the Under the Tree Designer Series Paper which were popped up with Dimensionals.   I finished them off with Gold Foil stars using the star punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack.

You can see the “door” better here when the card is opened up.
Part of the greeting shows when the door is closed and the rest is revealed when the card is opened up.
