Pretty Pumpkins

Welcome to November friends!  Here in Wisconsin we have been blessed  with an exceptionally warm and wonderful Autumn, but very recently the temperatures have cooled and it’s now feeling like a typical Autumn, which inspired me to create this card featuring the Pretty Pumpkins stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Pretty Pumpkins stamp set, Scalloped Contours Dies, Heart Warming Hugs DSP, Stampin' Studio

Color Combo

I knew I wanted to have a gingham check on this card along with the pumpkins, but I wasn’t getting the look I wanted until I stumbled across this perfect gingham print from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper.  The Heart Warming Hugs DSP can be found in the Holiday Catalog and it’s generally thought of as a Christmas print package, but when paired with Pumpkin Pie and Basic White, it works perfectly for this Fall card, don’t you think?
The card is quite simple, with a card base of Thick Basic White which has been die-cut along the bottom edge with the Scalloped Contours Dies – it adds just the right amount of whimsy.  I added a 1″ strip of Pumpkin Pie to the inside of the card so you can see it when the card is closed. I added a 1-1/2″ strip of the Gingham print to the card and stamped the sentiment in Memento ink.  I then stamped the pumpkins in Memento Ink and proceeded to color them in with Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs of Pumpkin Pie for the pumpkins, Mossy Meadow for the leaves and Soft Suede for the stems.  The Detailed Pumpkin Dies are on Back order and haven’t arrived to me yet, so I did a little fussy cutting around the pumpkins and attached them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The finishing touch for the card is the addition of a few of the Holiday Rhinestones.
I will be going live again this Wednesday evening at 7:00pm Central Time and I hope you’ll join me as I share with you the ins and outs of how to do the  Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Technique.  Here’s the card I’ll be sharing.  Here’s the link to my Facebook Page: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tinasstampinstudio/
