Today I wanted to share with you a little thank you gift I made for those that attended my Fall Fest Retreat that I hosted with my friend Colleen Kerl. The event was this past Saturday, and everyone that attended in person or purchased Fall Fest Retreat in a Box received this package made using the Pretty Pillow Box Dies.
Color Combo
This gift pouch was so fun and easy to make. I started with the Pale Papaya gingham print from the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper and cut out the box with the Pretty Pillow Box Dies. Next I used Cajun Craze card stock and cut out a portion of the flap with the same die and attached it under the gingham flap to create some visual contrast. After securing the ends of the box together with Multi-purpose Liquid Glue, I filled each box with 3 Rollo’s which fit perfectly.
To embellish the Pretty Pillow Box, I cut a tag from a piece of Pale Papaya card stock using the Pretty Pillow Box Dies and stamped Thank You (from Handsomely Suited stamp set) in Cajun Craze. Next I die-cut some leaves out of scrap pieces of Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie using the Giving Gifts Dies and attached them to the tag. I finished things off with a 14″ length of the Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon that I colored with the Light Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends Marker. After threading the tag onto the ribbon, I wrapped it around the box and tied it in a bow. Now the box can be opened by simply untying the ribbon to get to the chocolate treats. These treat boxes could easily be adapted by using other Designer Series Paper for other special events.
Here’s another special treat everyone got at our Fall Fest Retreat. It uses the Mini Jam Jars found on page 137 of the Annual catalog along with the Peaceful Place DSP.
