I truly enjoyed making this card using the Welcoming Woods stamp set, our Blending Brushes and the new Cork Specialty Paper.  Read on for the full instructions.

Stampin' Up! Welcoming Woods stamp set, Blending Brushes, Stampin' Studio

Color Combo

Measurements:
Misty Moonlight: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
Cajun Craze: 4″ x 5-1/4″
Cork Specialty Paper: 1-3/4″ x 5″
Night of Navy: 3″ x 4-1/4″
Basic White: 2-3/4″ x 4″
Instructions:
  • Stamp “Happy Birthday” in Early Espresso on the lower  right corner of Cajun Craze piece and attach to the Misty Moonlight card base
  • Attach cork piece to the left side of card front
  • Attach Night of Navy piece to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Stick a Post-it Note on Basic White piece covering up the lower 3/4″
  • Use Blending Brush to pick up Crushed Curry ink and blend it on the white cardstock above the Post-it Note so that it has ink about 3/4″  up from Post it Note.
  • Use another Blending Brush or clean off brush, then pick up Cajun Craze ink and blend above and somewhat over the Crushed Curry.
  • Continue as above using Misty Moonlight and then Night of Navy being sure to blend the colors rather than having distinct stripes.
  • Remove Post-it Note and now place it to cover up the Crushed Curry you blended on first, exposing the Basic White that was originally covered up.  Use Crumb Cake ink to blend color here to cover the white.  Now all blending is done
  • Stamp trees in Early Espresso over blended layers making sure the tree trunks are in the Crumb Cake area.
  • Stamp the “ground”  image in Soft Suede just under the Crushed Curry ink, making sure that the tree trunks fir in the void areas of the image.
  • Stamp leaves randomly over trees with Early Espresso ink and then attach this to the Night of Navy on the card front
  • Add three of the Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots to the card

Three more cards using the Sweets & Treats stamp set

The other day I posted my Caramel Apple card (you can see that HERE) and today I’ve got three more cards I created using the Sweets & Treats stamp set and the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper.

Stampin' Up! Sweets & Treats stamp set, Pansy Petals DSP, Stampin' Studio

This card reminds me of my mom, because she is an apple pie making machine that I am so thankful for.
The label the pie is stamped on is from the Tasteful Labels Dies and the sentiment is stamped on a label cut from the Stockings Dies.  Light Smoky Slate and dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blends were used to color in the pie.

This sweet birthday card is stamped in Memento Ink and colored with Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack.

I’m not a fan of Christmas fruit cakes, but this one is adorable and festive colored with Crumb Cake, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends.

Caramel Apples with Sweets & Treats stamp set

Because it is now Autumn and that makes me think of caramel apples…I wanted to share this card I created using the Sweets & Treats stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Sweets & Treats stamp set, Pansy Petals DSP, Stampin' Studio

Color Combo

The card base is Thick Basic White with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Pale Papaya cardstock topped with a 2″ x 5″ piece of the polka dot print from the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper.  The Basic White banner was die-cut with the banner from the Stockings Dies.  Next I stamped 3 apples in a row on the banner and colored them in with the Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend on the apple portion and Bronze Stampin’ Blends for the caramel portion.  I stamped one more apple on a scrap of Basic White and colored it the same, then fussy cut the apple omitting the stem.  This apple was attached over the center apple with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I stamped the platter on the polka dot print with Memento Ink and fussy cut it out, then attached it directly below the apples, so it appears like the apples are sitting on the platter.  I added the sentiment and attached the banner to the card with Dimensionals.  How’s that for easy?!
