More Fun from the Stampin’ Sisters Retreat!

Peggy and I get pretty silly when we’re together and our Carnival Themed Retreat was no exception.  We decided to wear some nasty looking “carnie” teeth so that we fit in with the carnival theme.

For our retreat this year we designed eight different projects/classes that we spent the whole weekend making.  We had two “Play Stations” set up for everyone to use.  At these “Play” stations we had a Big Shot Station, a Punch Station and a Stamp Station.  This made the projects run pretty smoothly.

We love to surprise and delight our stampers, so Saturday morning when they arrived to their seats we had a treat bag filled with the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit.

No stamping event is complete without some card swapping, so of course we did that too!  We had 70 of the 80 attendees participate in the card swap.  They each designed a card and made enough of that card to swap/trade with the others.  Of those that swapped we also had a card contest.

We even had one stamper who decided to participate in the card swap with a non card entry.  She made cupcakes for everyone.  Needless to say, Sandy’s swap was a huge hit!

The cards were all amazing, so we had everyone vote on their favorite cards.  Check out the winners:  Right to left we have 3rd place: Pam Sorenson, 2nd place: Sue Coomber, and 1st place: Colleen Kerl

Peggy’s husband Tony came to retreat on Saturday to sharpen all of the scissors that needed it.  This was a much needed service.  Thanks Tony.

We also provided an Italian Buffet for lunch, complete with antipasto, salad, garlic bread, two kinds of pasta, grilled chicken, meatballs, marinara sauce and alfredo sauce as well as cookies and brownies for dessert.  Yum!  Here’s Mark our chef.

Tomorrow, I’ll share some more of the surprises and treats as well as some of the amazing card contest entries, and then starting on Wednesday, I’ll start sharing the projects we made.  If you missed the first two posts on Stampin’ Sisters retreat, you can catch up on them HERE and HERE.
