Stampin’ Sisters Retreat: Getting Ready

It’s that time of year again…Stampin’ Sisters Retreat time!  My sister peggy and I have an annual weekend long stampin’ retreat.  This is our eleventh year.  This photo was taken after we unloaded my car, her SUV and my husbands SUV.  That’s right, three vehicles loaded to the top with all of the things we need for a successful retreat.

Each year we have a theme for retreat, so this year we decided to go with a carnival/ circus theme, so I made a chalk art sign welcoming everyone to the Stampin’ Sisters carnival.

We had 80 stampers in attendance for this years retreat.  This is what the room looked like just minutes before we opened the doors for the festivities to begin.

The room set up for retreat

I created the centerpieces for each table with a bucket of  popcorn, animal crackers and wrapped a long string of carnival tickets around the bucket.

We purchased small carnival looking canopies and I made a banner to add to the theme.

Here’s a close up of the goodie bag everyone received.  They got all of the supplies needed for all 8 projects that we’ll be making over the course of the three day retreat.  We also through in a stamp set, Stampin’ Dimensionals and Tear & Tape.

I’ve got so much more to share with you about retreat, so be sure to come back over the next week or so.
