Before I share with you the 8th and final project from our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat, I want to share with you the Sunday treat all our guests found at their spots Sunday morning when they came into our crafting room.
I made home made cut out cookies to follow our theme of flowers and butterflies. They were each packages in a cello bag with the Butterfly Botanical Designer Series Paper behind the cookie and tied up with ribbon and a tag. I also decorated Gluten Free cookies for those that couldn’t have the cut out cookies.
The final project from retreat was this set of 8 cards with coordinating envelopes using the Happiness Blooms Suite. The suite features fabulous products, we used the Bloom by Bloom stamp set, The Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper, the Dot to Dot Embossing Folder and the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots (everyone got a package of the dots to take home with them.)
Because so many people struggle to come up with card lay-outs, I wanted to show how you can use the same layout and just rotate the layout to have a different look. I created a horizontal card and using the same layout with different papers and sentiments, I created a vertical card. You can see how this plays out with card 1 and card 2
The cute stamped flowers come from the Bloom by Bloom stamp set while all the sentiments come from the Part of My Story Sale-a-bration stamp set.
Card 3 and 4 are duplicates just rotated, and this carries on for the other sets in this project.
Cards 5 & 6 each use the Dot to Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for added dimention and texture.
It’s kind of neat to see the same card from a different angle, don’t you think?
Card 7 & 8 each have a 1/2 front panel for an interesting twist to a basic card.
Diid younotice the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots were used on nearly every card? That’s a great finishing touch.
In addition to the goodie bag each of our guests received, which were filled with their 8 project packets, a blender pen, sponge, Package of Mini Glue Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Multi-purpose Glue, Tear & Tape and the Lovely Lattice stamp set, we had a surprise gift each time we started a new project!
All of our guests also received a Clip Board Frame, Pearls, Gingham Gala Sequins, Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots, Metallic Pearls, Classic Garage Metal Elements, Bermuda Bay Mini Striped Ribbon, Mini Brads, Pop Up Post-it Notes, and a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Marker.
Over the weekend, I’ll be posting cards from our talented guests that were made for the card swap and entered in the card contest. If you missed any of my posts about our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat you can view them by clicking on the following links.
