The Bird Ballad Tin becomes a Box of Chocolates

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been sharing all of the details of my 2nd Annual Stamp Crop & Cruise Retreat.  I created 8 projects for everyone to make and today I’m sharing the final project.  Previously I shared the Stamp-a-stack we made using the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut cards from the Annual Catalog, and today’s project uses the tin that those laser-cut cards came in.

I used the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper to add some banners to the lid, then stamped the flower from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  Next, I lightly colored in the flower and leaves with Light Petal Pink and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend Markers before die cutting the flower with the Magnolia Memory Dies.  The Stitched Nested Dies cut from Gold Foil and Whisper White became the foundation for the focal image.  The lid was finished off with a triple bow made from the Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon.

For the inside of the tin, I created a framed insert that held 20 Hershey Chocolate Nuggets that I wrapped with strips of the Magnolia Lane DSP.  This was one of my favorite projects and was a hit with my guests.

Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Card set

Look at the lovely soft detail of the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut cards.  This is one of the projects everyone made on my Stamp Crop & Cruise Retreat.  These card bases with the lace front panel were the perfect place to start designing a set of 12 stunning cards.

This project was a Stamp-a-stack, which means I designed 4 different designs and we made 3 of each design, creating a stack of 12 cards.

Every card also features the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape which creates the soft flowers found on some of the cards.

The leaves were punched from various colors of cards stock with the Leaf Punch.

In this card you can see another design of the Pressed Flowers Specialty Washi Tape that we used for the banner.

The Peaceful Moments stamp set was used for the sentiments on each card and the Label Me Lovely  Punch used on this card makes the sentiment pop.

Bonanza Buddies Fun Fold card Set

Today I’ve got a set of 6 Fun Fold Cards which were one of the projects from my Stamp Crop & Cruise Retreat.  Each card has some unique feature, fold or pop-up to it.  If there is interest, I can post a video on how each of the cards were made.

We used the Bonanza Buddies stamp set and coordinating Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper on each card.

This first card looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but when the card is opened up, the balloons pop out of the card.

For this second card, the unique feature is the front flap of the card which is the Basic Black layer.

Card three has a little pocket (on the upper right) that the front flap of the card tucks into.

Card four is a different twist on a Z-fold card.

I love all the fun colors and festive prints in the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper.

The triangular flaps on the top and bottom of card five open up to reveal the inside of the card.

The sixth and final card in this project is this double flap card.

The card base meets in the middle opening to both the left and right.  Each of the vertical front panels has a horizontal panel attached, which when opened reveal the inside of the card.
