Time for a Spectacular Celebration

This fun card featuring the Birthday Cheer stamp set was quick and easy to make and would work well for a boy or girl just by changing up the card base color.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Cheer stamp set, Stampin' Studio

My color pallet came from the How Sweet it is Designer Series Paper.  I layered a 3″ x 4″ piece of the striped paper on the left side of a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White and wrapped a piece of the Coastal Cabana/ Granny Apple Green Reversible Ribbon around it.  This reversible ribbon is awesome…It’s a playful reversible satin ribbon with Coastal Cabana on one side with Granny Apple Green stitching.  The reverse side is Granny Apple Green with Coastal Cabana stitching…too fun!  Next I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo on  a 3-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Whisper White, then layered it on Coastal Cabana cut 3-1/2″ x 2-3/4″.  After attaching the sentiment layer, I stamped the party hat from the Birthday Cheer stamp set in Memento ink and got out my Stampin’ Blends to add color to the hat.  I used Light Lovely Lipstick and Light Pool Party.  I did a little fussy cutting and attached the hat to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The finishing touch was adding some of the Glitter Enamel Dots.

Here’s a great masculine card

One of the things I hear most often is that you are struggling with making masculine cards.  Bot to fear, I’m here to rescue you from that tough task.  The Classic Garage Suite will make your masculine card making so much easier.

I stamped the classic car from the Geared Up Garage stamp set in Memento ink on Smoky Slate cardstock, then colored it in with the Real Red Stampin’ Blends.  After adding the sentiment I tied the tiny key from the Classic Garage Metal Elements on to a piece of the Black/Silver 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon and wrapped it around the stamped piece.  Check out the texture of the “gears in the Basic Black piece of cardstock.  Want to know how I did that since we don’t have an embossing folder that does that?  Of course you do!  I used the Garage Gears Thinlits Die and the Big Shot with the Embossing Mats.  It embosses the cardstock rather than cut it when you use the Embossing Mats!  Isn’t that cool?  Below you can see all the product from the Classic Garage Suite.  Pretty amazing stuff to create your masculine cards with!

Wait, I’ve got something else to share with you!

Stampin’ Up!’s classic red rubber stamps are now even better than ever!  The same quality rubber materials you’ve always loved now comes with an adhesive label that will cling like crazy to clear blocks or Stamparatus Plates each and every time you use them.  All stamp sets in the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs are either Red Rubber Cling stamps or Photopolymer (the ones you can see through).  Be sure to watch the video to see how to remove the stamps from the clear blocks.  They stick so well, there’s a technique to remove them so that you don’t tear them apart.  After you watch the video, scroll down to see a fun masculine card
