Blended Seasons Bundle with Flowers

Yes, I’ve got another card created with the Blended Seasons Bundle.  I’ve shown bold and bright summery, rich & earthy fall, and now I’ve got a soft and feminine spring card.  I focused on the larges image in the set this time and used Stampin’ Blends to add the color.

First I stamped the image with memento Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then I did some very simple blending on the flowers using the Dark Petal Pink for the center of the flowers and up the middle of the petals.  Next I colored the remaining flower in the Light Petal Pink, coloring over the dark, to blend the colors.  I did a similar thing with Soft Sea Foam on the leaves.

I think that stitched edge from the Stitched Seasons Framelits is so pretty and just the right finishing touch.  Have you ordered your Blended Seasons Bundle yet?  You don’t want to miss out…you’ve got 3 weeks or less to get yours before they’re gone for good.  They’re only available until August 31st or while supplies last.

Blended Seasons Bundle for Fall

The Blended Seasons Bundle is so fun to create with .  There are images for every season, and this Fall version is one of my favorites.  There’s so much going on in this card, yet it’s a very eye catching card.

For the main focal point I cut out the medium frame die from the Stitched Seasons Framelits on Very Vanilla cardstock, then brayered the top portion with Crushed Curry ink and the lower portion with Crumb Cake ink. Next I stamped the Wheat image multiple times with early Espresso ink, then colored in the grains of wheat with the Crushed Curry Watercolor Pencil.  For the “frame” I used the small and medium frame die one inside of the other and cut it from Early Espresso cardstock, then attached it to the stamped piece.

I added Gold Metallic Pearls to the “frame” and attached a Linen Thread bow to the bottom with Mini Glue Dots.  I love how the Crushed Curry striped pattern in the Regals Designer Series Paper draws your eye across the card.

Remember the Blended Seasons stamp set and the Stitched Seasons Framelits will be gone forever at the end of this month or when supplies run out (which ever comes first).  Take advantage of the 10% savings when you order the bundle.

2nd Annual Stampin’ Dave Event

Last August, after I had spinal fusion and wasn’t able to host an event I had scheduled, my Husband Dave said he’s host the class for me so that it didn’t have to be cancelled and no one was disappointed.  That class was a big hit, and the request was that we make this an annual event.  And that, ladies and gentlemen is how the Stampin’ Dave Event was born.  Yesterday, my mom had to have knee replacement surgery and since I was spending the day with her at the hospital, we thought this was the perfect opportunity for Dave’s class to take place.

I designed the cards for this class using the Color Your Season products ( Blended Season stamp set, Stitched Seasons Framelits and the new assortment of Watercolor Pencils). Here’s Dave showing one of the cards (notice his lovely Stampin’ Up! apron).  You can scroll down further to see the card up close and to get details.

Here he is teaching the details of how this card is made.

Not only did Dave serve as Stamp Class  Host Extraordinaire, but he also served up some wine and a mean chocolate martini and margarita’s!  As you can see, he is a huge help and supporter of my business, and I appreciate him so much!

The classroom was filled with happy stampers.  By the was my mom’s surgery went well.

This is the first card Dave was showcasing at his class.  We stamped the leaves image from the Blended Seasons stamp set in Highland Heather ink on Highland Heather cardstock, then cut out the center using the Stitched Seasons Framelits.  The Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper was attached to the backside of the opening  before layering it on a piece of  Gorgeous Grape and then on the Whisper White cardstock.

Look at the gorgeous faux stitching outlining the diecut opening.  That’s all done in one swift motion with these exceptional Framelits.  I’ll be showcasing the other cards from class over the next few days, so be sure to come on back.
